  1. I used to be a massive fan of their Vipers with the SCB reticle - these new ones just aren't the same
  2. We've discussed Emma Butt before mate I wouldn't pay £100k for the privilege but, I would chop in this scope for a quick knee trembler 100 quid buys a 15 minute quickie, 3K a night. If I sold my my SB I could have for a dinner date... WTF would anyone take her on a dinner date... I know If I was paying her by the hour, I sure as hell wouldn't be watching her have a leisurely meal A detail change to that last sentence and I would disagree. A leisurely 'Nosh'?
  3. Cheers Si The best, most accurate, unfussy rifle I've ever had was that .177 HW100ktla I almost went for the FX Streamlime in a blue/grey laminate stock yesterday - it was very nice to shoulder. ...... I just couldn't ignore my history with 100s or this stock Personally, at the moment, I think Hawke are producing some of the best air rifle scopes on the market Atb mate think the replacement barrel hw100 and the 510 were on a par both grouped well with almost everything i put in them!!the streamlines shot count and weight is what caught me, smooth twist barrels are good w
  4. Looking forward to seeing the results

  6. That's a tidy job mate It should be more difficult for the birds to empty now as well.
  7. How the other half live eh ........ Tell me more about those £100k hookers mate I haven't cleaned the barrel but, the rifle was second hand so, hopefully, there shouldn't be any grease in there but, I will give a go Put it this way ,they are on par with my HW100k But, the HW100 is a keeper

  10. Cheers mate You're absolutely spot on with your assessment ...... That's exactly why I sold my last one and, it's exactly why I've been wanting another
  11. I know what you're saying Renos ...... I like this bit of owning a new rifle. Atb mate
  12. I have been thinking along those lines. I'll give this a fair crack and see how it goes first.

  14. Cheers mate Today is the first time I've tried it but, the reticle did get lost against the background on the target a few times.
  15. It did ok at range - this is 28 JSB Hevies into a 3" Shoot-N-See at 58yrds. I reckon these will tighten up after a bit more practice with this combo.
  16. I took it down to Black Cat today for some informal pellet testing. The first thing I discovered was that I'd forgotten how unforgiving MTC scopes are if your head position is slightly off. Also, the eye relief is a lot longer than my Hawke Airmax. I may have to rethink this scope choice - it was a bit of a ball ache today. Anyway, I tried JSB Heavy, H&N FTT, Baracuda Hunter Extreme, AA Express and Polymag shorts. I gave it some 10 shot groups at 30yrds then, I tried 14 shot groups of the JSB Heavies and AA Express at 45yrds. I suspect the groups include an element of me tr
  17. ........ I suppose it'll do I popped down to my favourite RFD yesterday - I had every intention of buying a .177 S200, then badgering Marky71 for a custom stock But, all they had was .22s and, 6ftlb .177 version What they did have was a full length HW100 in a very nice walnut sporter stock but, it was a .22 - Bugger! I had another look round and, I found a .177 in a thumbhole stock After a chat with my ol' mate Paul, I walked out with a full length .177 HW100 in a very nice stock, an MTC opisan EVX 5-20x50i scope and some other bits and pieces - with a very healthy disc
  18. I agree mate I cooked my last one in olive oil, skin on but, the lucky mutts got most of it as a treat Mark - post that recipe up mate, I'd love to give it a whirl Pigeon & Bacon Pasties ( pigeon meat and bacon are a lovely combination) Here you go Jon, 2 Pigeons so -( 4 breasts) 3 slices fat free bacon ( not smoked) half a small swede cubed ( half cm cubes) 2 carrots chopped into small cubes. 2 spring onions chopped finely pack of puff pastry Fry pigeon strips to seal. Fry bacon, then chop up and mix in a bowl with the pigeon.
  19. Spot on Malt - I agree on both counts
