I'm out of likes mate but, I know exactly where you're coming from It would be nice to have the power to take them when you first spot them but, taking them with fieldcraft and patience is so satisfying ............. What to do, what to do Atb either way mate

Ft Lb Advice.
Jonjon79 replied to Fieldsporthunter's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
The best bet is to run your own tests over a chrono with various weight pellets. ...... I'd expect heavier pellets to push up the ftlb in a pcp. An 8.4gn pellet doing 777fps is very capable as long as it's accurate -
It is the felt plugs mate A quick clean and re-lead can't hurt but, all the other advice is spot on ...... Are the bolts on the scope mounts still tight? Atb

Cheers Mark I'd trust Lilly to come back when when told but, I suspect Frank may be a dark horse - I can imagine losing the little sod down a hole if he starts a chase. ...... My daughter would kill me

When I got home, I breasted out my pigeon and cooked it for these two. They loved it - it's a nice treat for them. They both know the words pigeon, rabbit and pig Not long after, around 6:30pm, we start to get pigeons coming in around our back gardens. ...... one landed on our fence - Lilly knows exactly what it is so, she went for it - it was on a 6ft fence so she had no chance. ..... For the next half an hour, she stood vigil at the back door keeping an eye out for them

Believe it or not, these little buggers do need training and discipline to keep them in line. Lilly (the one in my avatar picture) has a very strong personality. I can walk her off the lead and, she'll stay by my side. She'll respond to voice commands and, she's like a little torpedo when she runs through grass. However, when she settles down for the evening, sh

Ok, so this is a bit of a tenuous hunting story (and an introduction to my dogs) - I did get out today. I shot 1 pigeon and a few rats. Most of all, I really enjoyed the walk in the warm weather. I was on the land at the big manor house with my shooting buddy and young Harry (the lad that bought my Superten). We had a good long walk round, not stopping in 1 place for long. Harry's doing well so, I decided to act as spotter so that he could get a few as we moved around. As it turned out, the eagle eyed fecker didn't need a spotter. He missed a couple of squirrels but, he took some good

Are you talking about your HW100 mate?

I very rarely clean mine. If the accuracy goes awry or, you want to change pellets, it's worth a go but, as long as everything stays spot on, I wouldn't bother. Atb
