  1. One of these might be the way to go on my rimfire rather than the NiteSite but too early to say yet. We do have some good people on here, loaning kit or giving kit to other members or I should say friends. NICE Phil
  2. Interesting about the wet grass Bry, I will take that into account. The one I borrowed just didn't have the degree of adjustment needed to align the red spot to the scope picture. Perhaps some kind of adjustable connector to offer better laser positioning on the gun/scope depending on the gun being used. I will be using it on my FX Impact to start with but also on my rimfire at a later stage once the system works (hopefully). It will be easier on the Impact as there are extra weaver/picatiny rails to use but the rimmy is another thing altogether. Phil
  3. Nice going, it is surprising how an improvised position can sometimes work really well. Phil
  4. Thats the way to do it matey. Interesting idea regarding throwing a shot crow from the hide, I would never have of thought of that, you learn something new every day. Phil
  5. I have been messing around with a friend's laser with the thought of using it to pin point shot rabbits so when I or my pal knock over a rabbit at night, it would be possible to switch on the laser to roughly point to where the dead bunny is as we take it in turns to go out and pick up when the other one is shooting. Now on large stubble fields or grass for that matter at 50 - 80mt, it can be very tricky to find the quarry. I know a thermal spotter would be much easier and it is one the cards but nevertheless I would like to try a laser out. So have any of you used one and if so wh
  6. Was it worth the wait ................................... NO

    New layout

Why fix it when it was not broken, not impressed at all.
  8. I did wave as I drove past on Saturday only just made it to Derek Lee before closing time. I had a look at the other Webley/FX 2000 on their website, it does look good. I am wanting a .22 ratter with a decent shot count but having only just paid for my .22 rimfire, it will have to wait a little me thinks. Let us know when you are a bit quieter Simon and I will pop over mate. Phil
  9. That is enough to give me a hard on...........................well nearly. Phil
  10. FAC or not, that is cheap. Rapid FAC versions can and do fetch higher prices than this as did mine and I have an agreed sale at the price I paid. Phil
  11. I am a bit late on this one Simon but deffo up for trip over to you mate as jimmy said it is an eye opener to see what you can do with an air rifle. I will be passing your door tomorrow afternoon on my way back from a fortnight in Suffolk but don't worry I am not going to drop in without notice and we need to get everything unpacked. It would be good to get over to see you again at some point Simon. Phil
  12. To be honest for your use, I would have thought a scope with a 3_12 x 44 would be fine but an 'AO' model will be a major advantage so that you can focus up on the target. Phil
  13. You will not go far wrong with that, ENJOY Phil
  14. Just as a matter of interest lads, I had an invite to attend a presentation given by Lincolnshire police to launch a new system for license application, renewal and variation. The new scheme is being launched in Lincolnshire and is online in order to speed up the process. I asked the bobby who came to see me the other day but he knew nothing of it and between us we could only see an improvement in the initial process because the officers will still need to do the leg work so jury is out on this one but IF it speeds things up, spot on. My wife sent in her shotgun certificate for renewal
  15. Well I NEVER thought of that Mark............................hell of a good idea but I think either my cats or one of the many foxes in our village would mess things up a bit AND my youngest daughter would kill me........................................................................I love it mate. Nice one. Phil
  16. I don't do face book and never will although I know I do miss out on some good shooting topics but the shite and trouble I hear from that place is something I don't want to get involved in, I will stick with the abuse on here Never met Si but respect his ability but must say the vid clip on the link is the worst thing to post on any media format, seeing the squirrel flicking about as we all know they do at times is giving the anti brigade and some arsehole reporter just what they want............................an easy target, the hunter. Phil
  17. Welcome aboard matey How things have changed, yes, I thought that a few years ago after coming back into airguns after many many years away. The art of getting land to shoot on is in my humble opinion, ask EVERY person you know for ratting or crow problems etc etc and ask if THEY know any land owners, be creative in the search. You may well be surprised at some of the places some of the guys on here shoot or used to, from churches to industrial estates to allotments to manor houses to large farm estates, just keep at it. Phil
  18. And stop wearing pink in the field Dave, that will help no end me old mate. Phil

  22. Thank you Renos, it sounds complicated to a numpty like me but I'm sure one of my daughters will understand. Phil
  23. But of course Jamie, but of course.
  24. I don't have anything of that order Jimmy but if you contact any steel stockholder, they will have loads of offcuts which I am sure they would give you. Have a look in yellow pages for steel stockholder and steel fabricators locally mate. Phil
