There seems to be some evidence here and there and summing it up I believe back 90's -2000 there were Big Cats around. Now I think a fraction of that but I had a account of a black one a year to 18 month back and I believe him. So I think some must have bred. Think there is a good chance there are a few Lynx out there not hundreds but some. Think with more tail cams better phone/cameras in the not so distant future we will see some good footage. Bodmin Skull confirms existence of Beast From The Times, 2 nd August 1995 A SKULL found in a river on Bodmin Moor is definitely that of a big cat London Zoo Declared yesterday. After examining the seven inches long by four inches high skull, Douglas Richardson, the zoos assistant curator of mammals, said: "I believe this is the Beast of Bodmin, or one of them. There is more than one out there that's for sure." He added: "It is definitely a big cat's skull. It is probably a leopard, possibly a puma. It still smells quite nasty, which indicates to me that it died this year, pos

But as enthusiasts gather this weekend for the first UK conference on Big Cats, are the authorities beginning to accept they may exist? The first UK conference on Big Cats taking place in Market Harborough, Leicestershire, this weekend will give enthusiasts the chance to share footage and theories. It comes as a newly-released police report r

Not at all up set mate why would the colour of a door catch your interest mate. Mate and his niece saw one laid on a country lane sat up then jump a 6 foot hedge it was a puma. Mate watch a Black Big stalking two rabbit as he was up a ladder for 20 minutes he could even tell in looked very thin. Why on earth should I doubt an account. Oh the guttering was white he was cleaning Lol. Cheers Arry

I said before mate all but one of the sighting were around 2000 phones if you had one had crap cameras. Not many people walk around with a zoom 35mm cameras waiting for a once in a lifetime sighting. Even now a distance photo or video is going to be grainy. I the future as cameras get better on phone I sure good footage will be forth coming. "pillars of the community" bit sarky mate they are friends I trust, Don't suppose you have fiends if you can't trust what they say to be true. Cheers Arry

Well I put up the other day on this thread Sandy a Leopard cat shot killing chickens at Widecombe -in -the Moor 1988. I myself while out on a fox shoot in the 80's was told by the owner of the land on no account do you shoot the Ocelot, call me a liar if you like but it's 100% true. Personal I think Many Chipperfield did release 3 Pumas on Dartmoor. But I think the open Moor is not really suited to the Puma. I said I have friend and acquaintances farmers etc that have told me of their accounts and I 100% believe them, why wouldn't I. Only two of those sighting were on the edge of the Moor

If you hired a B&B on Dartmoor what else would you do. Go up on the Moor any day of the week there are walker heading off over the Moors it's a wilderness where people can get some space. There are lots of iffy sightings and blurred pictures of moggy's but you can't throw the baby out with the bath water in my opinion. Cheers Arry

All ways the same mate a liar , mistaken or a nutter no wonder most people don't come forward. Cheers Arry

The so called beast of Exmoor was killing so many sheep they called the army in mate. A mate of mines uncle killed a leopard cat at Widecombe - in -the- Moor think it was 1988 it is documented. So many deer about they don't have to break cover to take them and probably a easier kill. Cheers Arry.

Sighting on Dartmoor Sandy near wiseman's wood. Of course his a liar or a nutter imagined it or it was a moggy or misidentified it from a few feet away. Big cat sighting: Man comes face to face with caracal on Dartmoor in Devon - Devon Live WWW.DEVONLIVE.COM 'The cat was about three feet away from me,' he said. 'It was a sandy colour and had black stripes going down and around from it’s eyes to it’s nose' A good friend of mine watched a big black cat for 20 minutes at Wrangaton on the south side of the moor. Wragaton is few miles from

Most of the sightings I'm talking about were before 2000 mate and most people never had moblies then and no cameras. I have pasted info on to GM of exacted location of the sighting a year /18 months ago and there was a sighting few miles away around the same time both black. I have shot hundreds of foxes mate and I'll be honest it was for money to make ends meet, I skined and sold their belts mate. Call were all finger on the side of the lips and hardly any body else doing back then. We could not keep up with phone calls wanting them culled. We never had one come up the light mostly

Mate I believe there has to have been some breeding as Big Cats that were seen in around 2000 would not be still around and I know of sightings in the Southhams ( South Devon ) since then. One such encounter I that happened about a year or 18 months ago a chap driving to work first light seen a Black big cat in a open gate way so put his vehicle in the gate way and watched it run up the field. He' a shooting man and angler who knows exactly what he was seeing. He would only tell of the account through my brother-in-law as he has a business and didn't want people to think he was lying or nuts.

I don't think we will ever know the truth but I personally believe she decided to release the Pumas in a landscape she knew they could survive in. Would you admit you let them go as liability cases were going on about every thing. The area around Dartmoor Zoo and surrounding moor close by has been a place where a lot of sightings have taken place. I believe drawn to the scent of the Cats they have in captivity there. As said I'm not looking to justify any of this it's just my view after been given convincing accounts by friends and acquaintances I have met over many years. Cheer

I just my view on it mate I have really good mates some that were in the same class at school as me back in 50's early 60's. I've hunted and poached with them all my life if they said they seen one they seen one. I think I'm the only one in all my old pals that has not seen one. They are not liars been in a lot of scrapes with some of them you know the people you can trust. I strongly believe there are still a few big cat's around the South West our steep wooded valleys are good ground for hiding them. I keep an open mind and really hope GM or any body else will get some good foot ag
