  1. To keep the collar where it should be it would have to be tight under the neck this maybe fine walking about but I wouldn't want my lurchers breathing hampered by them metal prongs even if it's only dashing around for rabbits. You can get e-collars with the rubber cover or the ones used on malis and shepherds there prob the best bet or as bosun said get her a home where her talents are out to good use.either way best of luck with her cracking stamp ??
  2. It's not so much foul catches either I think mk4 Fenns are underpowered and shite I've watched a few squrriels be perfectly caught that would have had a prolonged death I can only say what I've seen I'm no trapper just use them when I need to as I've said I've had mink pull out of Fenns and ferret get caught in mk6s go on to have long rabbiting careers no matter how well the tunnel is made or how well the trap strikes the fenn isnt doing the job humanely just ask anyone who uses and checks them regularly.
  3. I know what you mean squrriel seen dogs ran with shock collars on not good to have them too tight it's a shit thing to have to part with a dog over deer Atb finding her a home.
  4. I've a few lead moulds but I'm after the one that does 2 shots at a time with the built in cutter if anyone knows where I could pick one up from. Gotta say I don't rate these 9mm steels for hunting.
  5. I used to own a ferret that was found in a fenn trap also seen loads of squrriels and rats still alive in them around the chicken pens if you check the traps regular you find there not as humans as there made out to be sometimes.
  6. If the hunting act was overturned tomorrow it probably wouldn't affect me and dozens of other dog men I know up and down the country. Just keep on keeping on lads ??
  7. like him or not another character gone rest in peace Len.
  8. With that being said its mad how 2 cross bred dogs with allsorts in there make up can produce typey animals you'd expect variation I think the more you see of the sire or dam in a pup the better
  9. Good to hear that socks all the best to the bitch ??
  10. Id say you just missed the perfect weather to be doing it in these past couple months I've done loads of it in places you wouldn't get near in the day without permission wait for the right night and get to it cracking bit of fun
  11. Just had a quick few shots whilst excersising the dogs imo a very good set of hunting tubes these I was shooting a can it was going clean through and barely making the can wobble I'm only using steels with leads I reckon it be deadly setup for any quarry gonna get the 12mm mould out when I have time knock some up cracking bands just gonna have to buy some more now.
  12. What I'm using must not be dankung then lads as this you would never double up I don't think I've got theraband black here and it's a touch thinner but still got a good bit of power to it. I've just chucked it on a milbro I'll have a walk in abit see how it performs.
  13. Anyone use these ? Been using theraband red for steel and green for lead and been doing well but been give some of this dankung tube some draw to it but doesn't seem as controlled as the theraband tubes.thoughts please ?

    Mary Jane!

Same here know plenty who been raided or stopped for other things and been prosecuted for possession of it even if it's tiny amounts its only fines but still abit harsh imo
  15. you can tell that form a pic and 15 sec video of a dropper lol can't tell anything without seeing it run just looks to be that type is all could well not be I suppose not seen the vids either but not my business what another does with he's dogs.
  16. My sort of dog that fast but looks like it can stick abit all the best with it I'm sure he'll get chance to show what he's made of with youse ??
  17. Love the milbros got a few here I use with theraband red or green been trying the dankung tubes just lately and there ok. Just a shame it's hard to source good square elastic now had some good days and night mooching with an old milbro and a couple good pebbles I've got one Ali thick milbro it's old battered and worthless to most but Ive had it so long it's like an old friend now if be gutted if I lost it. Been toying with getting a Stanley blank and scaling it meself anyone tried them?
  18. I don't like many of the mixed breeds presa Rottweilers and the like but them some boerboel are handy tools in the right hands not too defensive and have some presence and size they make some presas and cane corsos look silly in comparison. Edited to say best of luck finding something suitable but remember not many are gonna come to your place cracking a whip and waving a bite sleeve just something to bear in mind when your looking for a dog ?
  19. Thing is with presa there come in allsorts of shapes and sizes seen some lines youd mistake for bullx
  20. blackmaggie I have dogs here most would be more than happy to use and also one or two good dogs in the local area I also know of lads up and down the country who own some handy animals before this thread was started i had a couple of animals in mind but there's no harm in having a final scout next season I've a trip planned to see a dog he's already producing the goods and I like what I'm seeing about out of him about there won't be any pups advertised from this breeding and no money will change hands between The one or two lads that been offered a pup just maybe a few bags of dog food and a g
  21. thanks for the invite pal all defo take that up.a never said you have scarp or you don't do it properly just saying that taking the odd fallow and a dog that can find its own deer is not that hard to find.put a will say this pal my dog catchs in the day not at night. As I said anything with abit of speed and stay should knock over a few. And yea your right finding the odd deer isn't hard finding 2 3 4 maybe 5 in a day be running them down in the cover is some task. As for day and night It doesn't come into it whenever i come accross one it gets a slip day or night doesn't matter to me.
  22. I've said the same as this for a long time running and killing 4 or 5 hares on a Feb is some feat but for someone who wants to do a good bit of everything there better breeding to look for in my opinion. Fuji do you find your feathered dog out of razor is abit injury prone ? As I've seen you mention a few times you've travelled with him and he's not been right or is abit under the weather.
  23. Maybe Kieran but your more than welcome to come and show me and the scrap I own how it's done properly ??
