I've snared/trapped more gear in a week than you have in your life, Whats that saying jack of all trades master of none, stick to your moths messer  Fecking rebar ...lol In the words of Mr Waters... Rank Amateur! phaaaa
  3. I just use a 6" wooden peg cut from ash, cheap, light and strong.. fecking rebars, wheres the davey crocket hat
  4. The T67 is like a big black dildo, 30mm tube , just huge.. In all honesty an X-Searcher is much better and smaller or a NM800, or Wolf Eyes Seal. What are you wanting it for Walshie as in rifle mounting? What LED also.
  5. I've tried a lot of gloves and these are what I use, they don't affect dexterity, they are thin hard wearing and 100% totally waterproof across the full glove, as there designed for oil/chemicals.

  7. I'm after some more nets, anyone recommend a decent suppliers of spun nylon nets? Cheers
  8. If the ground is frozen solid I would wait for better conditions, if your setting traps in a large numbers..But on certain occasions I've just got on with it, the best way I find is to dig the sod out, bed the trap in, use the sod to cover and pack then using the spade slice the top of a nearby mound, and just place the frozen mound on top, it doesn't hinder the trap firing and keeps the surface frost off...
  9. Would make life easier eh!
  10. Just a question does anyone transport there quads in a pickup with ramps rather than use a trailer ? If so how do you find the setup?
  11. I use ash pegs, stake them under the trap or to the side of the hole, there well secured..
  12. All that footage could be the foundation for a great dvd! Keep it safe, and add to it as you go along JD! Even if it takes another year or two to get all the footage you need, it'll be worth the wait i'm sure! Would you go for it? Alot of people on here would buy it i'm sure, and a few would promote it too, and set you up with outlets ! By the way, you said all legal traps bar one! Which one? Tube Trap! Just curious! No mate, i have loads of tube trap footage/catches. The one I need now is the lloyd trap. got everything else. I'm sure a good mate of mine will supply me one in due
  13. I used the formula one dip years ago on some bodygrips, looks similar to the dakotaline dip, ie water additive rather than petrol, the rust still came through on the traps, even on the ones left in the shed unused...its meant to be re-dipped at will...but I never bothered, not for me.
  14. Personally I'd steer clear of the doublers, unless there designed to have them, they give a better image, but there are too many issues with POI changes, and unless you secure it with additional means which would void warranty there just another source to knock easily. That why the additional mag of the 6.5x helps without the extra bulk or risk of being knocked as its a designed for the scope and has a useful magnification range.. Hang fire till theres more feed back, when they get over here
  15. Unfortunately no Jim. There due in, so I'm told around April/May and we should have them as soon as they hit the UK. Personally I'd wait for the 6.5x version. For the money there great to be honest, easy to fit with standard mounts, natural shooting position, decent image, changeable reticule/colour...the only couple of snags I would say are there pretty focus fussy because of they way they are front mount designed, they do benefit from additional IR also, which improves the image, I've just fitted a new XT to a rifle, most people put coasters on the front focus ring to aid adjustment, wha
  16. Yes nightvision could pick it up...but most trail cams only trigger IR flash when they detect something, or they would be flat in hours. So the chance of someone using nightvision finding one is slim, unless there on top of it and trigger it themselves.
  17. I've got one, but I'm a bit far to travel as its too big to post. http://www.solwayfeeders.com/products/solway-atv-rifle-rest-p1321-c223.html
  18. I don't put swivels on any snares as there built into my anchors..saves some hassle.
  19. Handystraps are good in the uk for wire.. you can make all your own eyes if you wish, and just use nuts hammered on for crimps, plastic sleeves for holding onto your tealer..they work the same regardless... If you can't be bothered to make your own eyes, just get some micro locks there excellent.
  20. When you add up the cost I think its about £24 for 100 35gr vmax heads, then the primer and powder. probably cost about 40p a round, plus your getting better accuracy and your own choice of ammo, only downside is you need the equipment and time.. I basically bought it as the back end of the season ,the rabbits can become a bit skitty, I wasn't happy with the HMR due to wind and accuracy, I wanted something that could reach out to 150yd for rabbits and capable of dropping foxes humanely if needed.. drops around 3" at 200yds more or less bang on 100-150yds.
  21. Try some black electricians tape for a £1 around the rim, the newer models don't have the holes, but a lot of images show the older model.
  22. Try this T67 http://www.dx.com/p/uniquefire-uf-1405-800lm-5-mode-white-zooming-flashlight-w-cree-xm-l-u2-black-2-x-26650-349675#.VJscYF4gOA
  23. Victors are good, so are fenns placed in tunnels. I've watched videos a good few years ago from pegandgun and he was trapping rats in concrete grain stores with fenns, all he was doing was placing them in the grain at the sides and anywhere that suited, covered them slightly, no tunnels, and he was nailing them, make of it what you will.
