  1. If you going to invest in a thermal rifle scope, I'd wait for the xd75. But I'd suggest a thermal monocular and a night vision rifle scope instead, better all round.
  2. Sold out mate now, anyone who has purchased hope you enjoy them, and get some footage up .
  3. Yes I get the odd flicker during daylight use on mine CC, at night time its fine. I might venture out tonight and get some footage on here.
  4. There's plenty of members around your area could help you out, failing that try http://www.daf-petfood.co.uk/4-daf-frozen-dog-foods http://www.daf-petfood.co.uk/33-dog-food-frozen-bones-chunks
  5. I just download movies, series , etc.. Then turn my PC into a media server using PLEX, it can then stream anything I want over the wifi or internet, with full covers and information. It Basically looks like netflix on another PC or ipad, iphone etc. If you have a smart tv it can connect to plex on your network, if not you can use a chromecast and it will play your full movie/series setup on your TV you can use an Iphone, Android , phone as a remote...its pretty good.
  6. These are a god send http://www.toolstation.com/shop/p48155
  7. Yes you can do it that way as well if you want CC ..
  8. Champion CC, you can pop the centre cap out for use in daylight to cut some of the light out and increase depth of field. If you want to see even further in the future get a T50 single cell with the new AS IR LED. Shame the moons out it doesn't really get dark till 11pm lately..
  9. ludders76 the one hutchey posted looks alright, I got this one off a mate, which is good compared to others I've seen. http://www.amazon.com/Voodoo-Tactical-Adjustable-Cheek-Carrier/dp/B007FFM40W
  10. Archie here's the CVR640 mounted, nice and compact, fits easy to weaver, small lead plugs straight in no excess cable..
  11. Yukon MPR, although I have some of the CVR 640 which are a doddle to mount and connect, I'll post a photo later..
  12. Larger more powerful spring on the 116 from the 160 trap, rest of the dimensions are the same.
  13. Got a new LRF 600 (£125) or LRF 900 (£150) if your tempted Rez.
  14. Archie, I've got a couple of them adjustable mounts there handy to have, I was just swapping between torches with a figure 8 style mount http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Flashlight-Torch-Telescope-Sight-Scope-Laser-Bike-Mount-Holder-F-Outdoor-Hunting-/191249785161?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2c87602149 for ease, they work well on a photon..you will get the reticule bang central if your using the sportsmatch mounts.
  15. Well just been out with the airgun shooting a few rabbits in paddocks, had the HMR with me with xt 6.5 on and got it roughly zeroed before dark.. After I had finished in the paddocks I checked the photon out with a T20 IR at around 100yds the image was good I just backed off from full focus slightly to lose the die affect, I then tried with the NM800 IR, this gave an even brighter image as expected, I'm just looking back on some footage and the video is a lot less grainy with the NM800 even though you couldn't tell at the time with T20 the image was still great... I'll try with a laserluchs 50
  16. Nice one Archie, glad you like it, the doubler makes a big difference..the weaver mounts are very handy too especially with being a vertical axis to the scope, I'm not a fan of side mounts on scopes.. Let us know how you get on and get some videos up
  17. For close range ratting a 4.6xt would give more field of view, for eveything else rabbiting, foxing the more magnification within reason that is, the better the image and aiming precision. It's up to yourself and needs mate. Wait till I get some night footage with a few different IR torches as well at range.. tonight or tomorrow.
  18. Should be spot on for your needs hutchey, once its setup/ Photon with 1.7x doubler, for anyone looking at buying. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/store/yukon-photon-xt-6-5x50-with-1-7-doubler-lens.html
  19. I just fitted a photon xt 6.5x50 with doubler on the HMR, I haven't zeroed it yet, had to be back, but I got a little bit of footage of some rabbits with and without the doubler fitted, around 10pm tonight just gone dark, no IR used. I must be honest they are excellent with doubler and rock solid fitting, this will be getting left on the HMR now, for the money they are very good. I'll post some more footage at the weekend with IR and dropping some rabbits, the mag range, together with how light and low profile it is, makes it a winner. Like I say the only downside is there not great in daytime
  20. Hutchey 1. With the supplied cap push inwards the centre, it pops out and should give a 20-30mm aperture, helping with depth of field when focusing. 2. Like you say additional IR makes a huge difference, the onboard IR is grainy. 3. Agree 200yds-300yds easy with right IR, the eye display/sensor/resolution is not the very best available, compared to the £1500 region models...BUT its good still and works as should, the option of more optical magnification makes a huge difference, when shooting small targets or at range. Here's my honest view on it. For the money the photon is
  21. Stealthy there are mildot style reticules, with colour selection from red, green or white.
  22. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/store/night-vision/yukon-photon-xt-6-5x50-with-1-7-doubler-lens.html
  23. Just a heads up on the photon 6.5 x 50 scopes, with the objective lens now being 50mm, if you remove the scope flip cap, the well known yukon doubler lens now screws directly into the front, so no doubler adaptor is needed and takes the scope up to neigh on 10x optical mag...a big plus point if anyone wants even more mag and it saves on the cost of an adaptor.. Image below shows with doubler fitted. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/store/night-vision/yukon-photon-xt-6-5x50-night-vision-scope.html
