  1. Looks a good little build, and self built can't beat it
  2. Yes it has a side weaver rail for accessories.
  3. Do a search on Amazon. Panasonic are popular.
  4. Hello mate there's a comparison of the lower mag model on YouTube , this new 6.5x mag model will be available January theres a link to preorder in the first post.
  5. When I get chance Charlie I'll try a 12.3gr load and see what groupings I get in my american.
  6. The new upgraded photon XT has been out a few month now in 4.6 x 42 guise. The new year will see the 6.5 x 50 XT model, which has a more useful optical magnification range and 50mm objective lens. Ebay

Nearly all items have a 10% fee from Ebay, then 3.6% fee if paid by paypal. Some items, very little to be honest drop down to 6%. Selling anything of value costs you quite a bit.
  8. I tried a few weights 11.2 and 12 grains seemed to be best, I never went above 12, but may try that, I've been crimping but haven't had to use an expander to flare the neck yet..
  9. I used to use H110 for my hornet loads, it loads hotish loads at higher pressure than lil-gun, but I really liked it. Did you ever reload 35gr vmax with H110 if so what powder weight did you settle on.
  10. Hello Charlie The built in IR is much improved over its predecessor. It all depends on the distance you will be shooting, to be honest. I'll be putting two on a couple of rifles when they land, as for the price and magnification with the upgraded screen there worth every penny, these home builds with add on monitors are just not practical.. Additional mounts are needed dependant on rifle although you can use standard scope mounts.
  11. On the subject of Hornets, is anyone using H110 for reloading?
  12. Charlie if your going for the Photon, I'd hang fire a couple of month as the new updated Photon XT 6.5 x 50 is on its way. 6.5 optical mag is a very handy all rounder compared to the lower mags available. Should be plenty of first release in stock January time. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/store/night-vision/night-vision-rifle-scopes/yukon-photon-xt-6-5x50-night-vision-scope.html
  13. For a nice little vermin gun, the .22 Hornet takes some beating, and its cheap to feed.
  14. At that range anything will do. Home build you will be better off with a E700 camera and screen rigged up, you will get a good image, but its the leads, batteries, screens etc that makes for a cumbersome setup.
  15. What you have to watch out for with doublers Lee is no matter what someone says they are prone to be knocked which can affect you POI, if your a bit rough with them or accidentally bump it. They will also reduce your field of view when scanning. On the plus side you will get a better image with more mag.
  16. I have a merlin here hily, your better off with a n1000 laser to be honest, you may struggle getting an LED IR to work with it.
  17. These have just arrived in stock for anyone looking at a cheaper range thermal. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/store/night-vision/guide-ir510-384-thermal.html
  18. Trousers try these, expensive but.... http://www.musto.com/shooting-clothing/breeks-trousers/keepers-waterproof-trousers-dark-moss.html
  19. Hmm Few options mate You could fit a quick release non adjustable mount like these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/25mm-1-inch-Quick-Release-High-Profile-Rifle-Scope-Mounts-fit-Weaver-Rails-/161372096068?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item259286c644 , and just open the flood up slightly on the torch. Or Use one of these http://www.taclight.co.uk/products/fully-adjustable-rail-mount#.VEoJ4hbqfhI weaver adjustable mounts, but they use a small allen key to adjust and they seem to have a slight play in them at times. I've got a few different torches and to be hon
  20. Got one with mine, handy for the extra life, but they add a little bit of bulk
  21. CC do you use hodgson H110 in your hornet, I've got some here, keeping it contained is not easy, spills out of a powder thrower and jams up the tricklers..
  22. Nice one Moe your off to a flying start. Still plenty of cover on the places I work at the minute.
  23. What model do you mean moxy ? I have a pulsar x850 illuminator that includes a built in weaver rail and the position of the beam angle is fully adjustable within the unit.
