  1. It did say in the article , that they had problems with seals and weather, on initial trials, but have revised the full trap to suit.
  2. If it was legal, The owner and the dogs involved want bullet's putting in them. There's no need for idiots with dangerous out of control dogs. It could of been children walking a dog that got attacked, never mind adults, which is bad enough.
  3. I agree it may not take off over here, even though organisations are looking at them with great interest , but in NZ they will be the next step in controlling non-native species , as you say more or less anything that enters over there will be fair game.
  4. Animals are attracted to the same species, try putting multiple traps in a box compared to one and find the results.
  5. The scale of what these guys have to contend with..I'd put money on its the future. Doc traps will eventually be phased out...they were only so big, so they could leave them out for prolonged periods till they got around to checking them again weeks later knowing what was in there was dead. But you got to reset still eventually. The 12 model by goodnature would reduce this immensely and save time and money, they've invested millions in research so, its going to happen, looking at it.
  6. If anything it would attract more. They completed a study using doc traps and found that using two traps in the same box vastly improved catch rates as well as helping reduce reset times due to two traps, which is obvious but the study found one catch dead, attracted more to the unfired catch, with much better attract/appeal results than a single trap sat there. Like anything its better to have had catches in a trap than not.
  7. Did anyone read the article in the NGO magazine about the use of goodnature traps in new zealand. http://www.goodnature.co.nz/index.php?pageID=products&productId=4 Basically they were tested and are set to be the go to trap over there as they self reset, and reduce manpower and trap check/reset times by a massive margin. The check and reset is the main problem over there due to the area covered and terrain. Anyway the jist of it is, they might end up over here, and if further anti poison measures are pushed, are meant to be the next step.. Whats does everyone else think?
  8. Couple of friends have had there guns taken off them recently, to do with past convictions and were talking years ago, there clamping down a lot.

  17. Sorry lads for any confusion, the reason certain images are removed, is basically were trying not to portray what we do in a bad light, certain images can be a bit too graphic and shouldn't really be shown, or for example a fox/rabbit badly damaged from the likes of a ballistic round, we know the mess they make, personally I'd turn it on its good side, when there's not much left it's not too easy to do. A small minority will use anything they can against us, we're just looking out for everyone and the sport, as I say it's nothing personal against any member ..
  18. Not being biased mate but there pants, and personally I'd rate seeland as ok and cheap, definitely not banging gear.

  22. Basically he asked to be removed and was told ok but not to rejoin, but THEN rejoined again with a bad attitude..... His re-incarnations were scheme-sport, BPR, BPR2, Iwasonpermissionhonest', amongst others... I was willing to allow him back on, but then I didn't have the full story and the overall consensus from discussion with others was to not allow it, he came back with a bad attitude, started getting abusive and was basically taking the piss..this comes from three topics covered and input from all the moderators. How many chances does someone need? Why do people go down this
