  1. Scopes fine, if I was left handed, I'd of had a messy paw or missing digits as it flew 2 foot away..Ears stopped ringing now
  2. Just spoke to EB the distributors, the rifle and ammunition are being sent back to them. I don't think the blue tips have been in circulation for a couple of year, so I probably got a 50/50 mix of red and blue, when I bought a 1000. Speaking to the distributors, they said the rifle is designed to do what it did, as it vents back near the bolt.
  3. The empty shell is still fused to the bolt, and the heads are still lodged in the barrel, I can't believe the barrel didn't peel back like a banana...looking at the actual action is doesn't look that bad, although as I say the trigger guard and magazine holder are bent down and cracked..
  4. Yip, but in fairness jammed bullet heads are all too common with these rounds the manufacturers want there arse's kicking..
  5. Got another HMR for shooting rabbits with the night vision about 5 weeks back, had a bit of a mishap using hornady blue tips. To say I nearly shit myself is an understatement, could of blown my hand off if I was a south paw and my ear is still ringing..the stock ended up in bits 2 foot away..trigger guard bent, magazine holder and bolt jammed..Round must of got stuck in the barrel and had another one behind it..not recommended !
  6. I have some here if anyone's in the market for one.
  7. Yes it works at night, to be honest it's a great addition and takes the guesswork out or range estimation , especially handy for .22 lr's works out to 400m, displays the distance in the eyepiece screen display.
  8. To be fair I like around 10x magnification on a scope and using an add on , you get this, and can easily swap if needed, scope dependant. If there's no change to eye relief, I'd say this setup using an e700 is one of the best digital add ons, to be fair.
  9. Did you have any POI issues with your doubler on, I found it a bit clunky and easy to knock.
  10. It's a shame mate, but I suppose that's the same with anything out of warranty after 3 year.
  11. You would need to say what setup your looking at. Add on, dedicated setup, personally I'd avoid the nitesite style of monitor mounted to a rifle scope, but others get on with them.
  12. Seems a good setup, but you would require side focus scopes on all your setups and eye relief even though it's short may cause you to extend the stock or push your day scope forward.
  13. Anyone still in the market for a LRF 870 , there a big improvement over previous N750 range. The additional top mounted rail, multiple reticule option, plus the increased and smoother digital zoom and function wheel, programmable button, and rangefinder are great, especially for air rifle or rimfire shots when its hard to judge exact distance. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/store/night-vision/night-vision-rifle-scopes/pulsar-lrf-n870-scope.html
  14. Costs me about 36p to reload a .22 hornet with 35gr vmax head using H110. I bought it as a fox/long range rabbit rifle, which its superb for but I'm shooting that many rabbits I've went back to a HMR as I got sick of reloading even when using a chargemaster..
  15. Eh? What you reloading 2p per round! £36/0.02 = 1800 rounds , 7000gr/1800 , 3.8grain per load?
  16. Yes but there not ideal, a dayscope is much better for daytime use.
  17. With extra IR easy a couple of hundred yard. All depends on distance and target size, and what your planning to shoot.
  18. Hmm the 3x model has manual focus , 3x optical really.... From experience any digital zoom is not great.
  19. Some people like Nite Site stuff, personally I could not bare having a monitor hanging off my scope, lighting you up, making the rifle more cumbersome and just waiting to be broke off, its just a faff to me anyway. These are not a N750 or a Drone, but for the money there good, and to be fair there the best mounting of all with a standard scope design, normal mounts can be used and there low fitting. You will struggle to find a dedicated scope that offers 6.5x mag, multiple reticules, decent eye display, ease of fitment for less than £420 that can be used on air rifle upto centrefire when
  20. Wait a month and the photon xt 6.5 will be out, easy to mount, good eye relief, similar to normal scopes, usable magnification range, to be fair for the money there very good. Yukon Photon XT 6.5 x 50 Scope
  21. Its not long to go now hutchey.. any extra optical mag helps. Will save having some temperamental doubler on it.
  22. Just looked into it and the topic started wanted it removed. Sorry guys..Unless he's happy with it getting re-instated..
  23. I'm told that's when they will be here hutchey, no reason to believe otherwise, although as you say, things sometimes have a habit of slipping. Up to now its sometime in May.
