Going this week to look at an HW110k and an FX DRS classic, strap on a scope and test in the range or bring home to test. At the moment I am jumping from one gun to the other and back again but I think I will be buying the 110. I did look at a range of other guns , AGT, Daystate, Brocock, FX, Airmak etc etc but the prices now are feckin stupid with nothing really under a grand and for many thats second hand so we are looking at around £1500 for many of them and considerably higher. This market has just gone mad, to pay up to £2k for a sub 12 is bloody crazy. Phil

Maybe get in touch with Dave sleight or even Dave platts ,both men keep Deerhound xs and Dave sleight runs track dogs and both are involved in producing Deerhound lurchers that are fit for purpose.

Your not going to find many or if any working or coursing pure greyhounds nowadays mate, your best off looking for a good staying racing dog

Their numbers have exploded. They must have found an ecological niche alongside herons. In fact they seem to be thriving more than herons . Similar with collared doves. They were introduced in the fifties and do as least as well as wood pigeons. I quite like their call. Just as nice as woodies.

All the time in the UK even seen them feeding in the same stretch as herons.

Does any one know of any pure greyhound stud dogs? I know of one but want to see if any other options about. Preferably a working one or coursing dog. Yes, I've seen lots in France. I remember one of my kids saying: hey dad, there's a punk mohican bird". I've seen a pair in Scotland some 40 years back. Has anybody seen little egrets on their patch? The odd one started to appear about 20 years back, now they are as common as herons along the Solway coast. I counted a gathering of 18 a few months back.
