Yeah I reckon, I was impressed with the other ginger YouTube Ally Law  who ran a marathon with him having never done one or run before and turned up in Africa with no proper running shoes or training. Gutsy and full of confidence,  I like people like that. Fair play to them .

Mack hypothetical question if you didn't have much financially or lost most most of what you had and you'd had enough of here and wanted to try somewhere different say Asia as could it be possible to live there ie visas getting work etc " I know they don't give work to foreigners in Thailand"other than teaching🤔 oh and you also didn't have a degree of any kind🙄, anything possible do you think or would you just give your head a wobble n forget it.

In the next few years maybe mate, iv been thinking about it alot late lately I'm not sure iv mentioned it on here before or not but long story kind of short my ex is Japanese we split up about 5 year ago amicable after 12 years but she wanted to go back to Japan but we had 2 young boys 2 n 6 months at the time.

Obviously if we didn't have kids it'd be goodbye n goodluck from me but my idea at the time was just to continue being parents to them as the alternative was me seeing them once a year if I'd of agreed to her going there and taking them with there and I'm not sure any father would be able to either, anyway she asked if she could take them there for a holiday to which I agreed to which then turned into an abduction which was obviously shocking.

I waw obviously shocked and you probably know yourself if something like this happens the police don't want to know so you have to contact the embassy who also can't physically make someone come back so you have to go through the haige convention and no legal aid.

I was lucky to win the court case but it was gruelling and It took 16 months and u hadn't seen my kids in all that time, I also agreed to not press charges to increase the chances of them coming back as the enforcement can be a problem then within the first week of them getting back to England the ex set up another court case to take them back to Japan on a legal basis so I had to go through it all again and after another 14 months I won this to but it costs everything even my house and took its toll on my health aswell..

Now my kids have been back here 2 years and I don't see them much as she went to live down London with them nothing I can do about that, I could have gone for custody but despite what she did she's not a bad mum in most ways and my health isn't good enough so the court ruled that the boys can stay with me every weekend but because of the distance and school etc I thought a weekend a fortnight would be enough for them but then I started having seizers early summer n with currently living alone I had to stop them coming as although I haven't had one since I just can't risk it.

And lately mate iv just been thinking was it all worth it as my ex still doesn't want to be here I hardly see my kids, the bond just isn't what it should be, the toll it's took on my health both physically and mentally and I don't have any family support so if you take the hunting side of things away from here then I if it was possible I think I could let my kids go over there and I try somewhere else to be closer to them but I think difficult regards to visas and work

That’s a sad read mate, emotional honesty,if I was you I truthfully wouldn’t go to Asia mate as you said your not 100% match fit, your in between a rock and a really hard place,I would have a long hard think about what’s best for the boys, they are your future, they are half of you, have a chat with the mum and assess the situation, sorry to hear that dodger.

I've only heard good things about the PHD gear Leo. My sister picked up one of their bags only used once and got a mega deal on it she was saying. Only downside was it didn't have a zip on it!! Lol!! She was aware if that by the way. I can't actually remember what she was quoted for having a zip fitted but it kind of ruined the deal!!  Oh well!! Lol..

I'll have a good poke about on their site later. I don't need owt as such bit always good to have a gander eh!!

Just picked up 2 PHD coats at not a bad price, I was cheeky and offered him a cheeky price for the pair. They look brand new ! Very impressed with them tbh !

It’s not really a big hike mate,to be honest it’s just a decent walk,I was in Switzerland twice earlier this year and both times I did a short section when I had a spare day,it’s roughly 165-170 kilometres taking in a loop through France,Italy and Switzerland,I do around 17 km a day currently, did 22 km one day last week along a river, done high altitude trekking in the past so it will be quite enjoyable to spend time alone on the trail.

I watched that mate, the mountain takes no prisoners as you saw at the end sadly.

And turning back in -25 was a wise move,it’s bad enough at sea level never mind 4800 metres in that wind at that temp.

This is what I am going to do more or less.

Youtube is great ain't it...the sheer diversity of subject matter is great ...apart from watching power lifting last few days I've watched travel programs about Svalbard ...and history programs about 17th century sailors getting shipwrecked on desert islands

Yeah it's great , over the Xmas period I've just upgraded to YouTube Premium.  It allows me to download and save podcasts or out. So when am out walking running or camping or out , I don't need a signal. Plus it allows you to lock your phone screen while playing, which you couldn't before. And also no adverts. I know I will get the use out of it.

I want to purchase a pair of boots for the colder weather, I do a lot of walking, and some trekking about the hillsides and trails. I do not want "winter boots" but rather boots that would be suitable for a cold day, but would work with layers of socks rather than thick heavy boots. Several people have told me Meindl is an excellent brand, and that is great, but what kind ? Hiking ? Walking ? Do they make them that they would serve the purpose mentioned above ? Any specifics to look for in a boot for this purpose ?
      Thank you in advance,
      Lynn

Sorry gentlemen to bother you, but I have come to my wits end. My neighbour across the way lets her dog roam as it please when it comes to shitting and urination, she is too lazy to actually take the dog out herself. He seems to have taken to my property and a certain area just under my bedroom window. I do not want to hurt the dog for the sake of her ignorance, but I do very much need to stop him from doing it any longer. The grass and  the shrubs are dying and turning brown and the flowers are just rank with smell that floats up through my bedroom window.
He is a VERY OVERWEIGHT beagle and leaves behind some damn good deposits.
I am wondering short of doing something stupid, what can I do to deter the dog from that area or any patches of garden I have? I plan to go to the council about the problem, and lay some of it on the town manager who is an acquaintance of mine, but in the meantime, any tricks out there to make my flowers and bushes unsavoury.
      Thank you in advance,
      Lynn
