If we fully return to our fear based voting, like we did in the last referendum, then I think the Tories will still edge it. Can't see anyone having a landslide.

I think more folks are scared of Socialist Labour than are scared of centrist Tory. A hard economic Tory leader would possibly swing that in Labours favour (entirely based on my 'fear' thinking).

But f**k knows. May's government has torn their voter base to pieces through this.

We need a new party centre right biased feck the left off they have is on the verge of war again in Europe

Correct. Of those nine countries some receive more back in trade within the EU than they  put in.  When they hand the dosh over to Brussels and Brussels then divvies it out to the poorer EU count

If you want to see hatred look at the political left. From antifa to momentum to unite against hate.  We arnt full of hate we are just pissed off.  Being against giving power to the eu isn't

What the latest news has demonstrated is that May's policy of appeasement to the EU was similar to Chamberlain's appeasement towards Hitler in the 1930's. By standing up to the EU and removing any hop

Hard to gauge because of where I get my news from but I'm seeing "anyone but the Tories" from this side.

I've not heard that at all personally. The socialists will vote for Labour because they're terrified of the evil Tories and the conservatives will vote Tory because they're terrified of Corbyn.

The extreme left will probably go for Corbyn. The extreme right will probably not go Tory and then there's a bit of middle ground to play for but personally I think the Tories are more centrist than Labour so have the benefit there.

I no longer give a f**k.

I hope the whole lot crashes into oblivion! I hope the FTSE tanks, the pound tanks and the housing market tanks and everyone fucks off.

EU just using blackmail to keep us in.

Tories just fecking every thing up.

Labour play politics.

Remainer's putting ever spoke in the wheel. they will vote down every deal just to get a second vote.

Well if there is a second vote it should only be ether this deal or no deal.

Otherwise its a dictatorship. All remainer's should be charged with treason for going against the will of the country.

Cheers Arry

I think it's only a small idiot minority that are to young to remember the treachery and destruction caused by Blair and brown who would jump into bed with Corbin and abbot plus the odd older deranged fool like bgd, but I can't see them doing very well at all in a general election, it's very easy to point score and look attractive when your the opposition and don't have to actually deliver anything you say, I,m hoping the next general election will see a rise in minority parties and a swing away from two party politics, Tommy Robinson has moved in with Gerard batten head of ukip I can see a lot of votes going that way, plus farage and a few older members have distanced themselves  from ukip claiming they have gone to far right and are talking about forming a new centre right party, we could see a change its happening right across the eu so bring it on,the migrant crisis more than any other issue is causing a rise of the right and the end of left leaning socialists like Dave even merkel, Adolf,s favourite daughter is now a lame duck leader after over a generation of being fondly known as mother by the Germans and we can all see how well macron is doing in France, the writing is already on the wall but some folk just need to wipe the shite from there eyes to see it

I'd called it fecked for a lifetime. The UK will be the dumping ground for all the 3rd world spongers and we will have the privilege of paying for them.

BTW this robust opposition you talk of - does that mean actually coming up with some decent ideas, (workable, not ridiculous, plucked out of the air nonsense in hope of extra votes), or do you mean simply disagreeing with everything the government says or does?

The idea of someone as retarded as Abbopotamus in charge of anything makes me wince. Surely even a dyed in the wool Labour supporter such as yourself cant think having a stupid embarrassing racist with zero grasp on reality as Home Sec is a positive move?

Read the manifesto and accompanying costing document?

No pm in history has held a more poison chalice. No pm could of come up with a deal. If we like it or not.....nobody could of done better.

So it was pointless voting to leave then because no matter who was in power a brexit deal that was actually good for the country was impossible to achieve? What happened to "The easiest trade negotiations in history!" "The UK holds all the cards!" :hmm:

Complaining aside. Is there any way that Jeremy Corbyn doesn't become PM at some point in the future?

No. :D

The only thing the Tories have going for them at the moment is fear. You can see that in the way they campaigned in the 2017 GE, they have no fresh policy ideas that appeal to people fed up with the status quo and can't communicate a positive vision for the future. Until they can do that instead of just trying to scare folk into voting Tory to protect them from the reds under the bed they'll continue to see their base shrink and they'll fail to attract new voters and activists to replace it.

The only reason they managed to just about cling to power in GE17 was Brexit and look how they've ballsed that up. The image of being the party of competent governence the Tories have cultivated for generations is falling apart around them and they've got a serious job to rebuild it.
