The Government has rejected a petition calling for Brexit to be stopped, which has gathered more than 5.75 million signatures.

The Department for Exiting the EU said: "It remains the Government's firm policy not to revoke Article 50. We will honour the outcome of the 2016 referendum and work to deliver an exit which benefits everyone, whether they voted to Leave or to Remain.

"Revoking Article 50, and thereby remaining in the European Union, would undermine both our democracy and the trust that millions of voters have placed in Government.

That's the worrying bit - I reckon we're going to get stuck with some sort of shit deal that leaves us in limbo and keeps the smug remainers happy.

Correct. Of those nine countries some receive more back in trade within the EU than they  put in.  When they hand the dosh over to Brussels and Brussels then divvies it out to the poorer EU count

If you want to see hatred look at the political left. From antifa to momentum to unite against hate.  We arnt full of hate we are just pissed off.  Being against giving power to the eu isn't

What the latest news has demonstrated is that May's policy of appeasement to the EU was similar to Chamberlain's appeasement towards Hitler in the 1930's. By standing up to the EU and removing any hop

One phone call to the Bank of England or the Bundesbank and all that blokes work drys up, his factory closes, his interest rate rises and bang, he is out the game.......so busy trying to keep a roof over his families head that he couldn’t give a flying bollocks is they marched the French Army up the Mall and chucked Her Maj off the f***ing balcony !

Poll tax riots?.......nah, can’t see it myself .

Thing is Wilf, don't underestimate the man who has f**k all else to loose. The Jo Cox episode could just be a  start..

I'm not talking me personally but listening to the bollocks on the news this morning and the rise of the far right, it's a distinct possibility.

STRASBOURG (Reuters) - The head of the European Council urged the European Parliament on Wednesday to be open to a long Brexit extension and not to ignore the “increasing majority” of British people who wanted to remain in the European Union.

“You cannot betray the six million people who signed the petition to revoke Article 50, the one million people who marched for a People’s Vote, or the increasing majority of people who want to remain in the European Union,” said Donald Tusk, who chairs summits of EU leaders, told the parliament.

Is this c**t living on another f***ing planet? Does he have the faintest f***ing clue how a democracy functions? He must be an accountant because clearly arrhythmic isn't in his skill-set.

I hear you mate but what you have to remember is, according to the news media , the “Far Right” is actually just normal right of centre, conservative (not Tory )/libertarian politics mostly.........most normal work a day blokes would be considered “Far Right” by modern standards when in fact they are f**k all of the sort.

When the news says “rise of the far right” it’s really code for “watch out, we are coming to make some more laws about what you can and can’t say, read, look at or be a supporter of”

It’s normally the precursor to some “more government”

Feck me Donald Tusk has just said you can not betray the people that wanted to remain. Just shows you what they think of democracy.

Yea any body with more than one IP address any kid that petition is so flawed. The referendum counts for nothing with them b*****ds. He wants to give the UK a long extension, Ffs parliament is playing right into their hands.

Perhaps some body should ask the European Court of Justest to up hold the democratic rights of the people that won the referendum.Lol.

Imho, the REALLY important bit of Brexit is buried in all the nonsense this week......if they overturn the legislation to leave on Friday then you are done for.

They have not made great play of it but that is the killer, make no mistake.
