I always lived by the creed if someone is asking to borrow money from a bloke it can only mean one thing. He has bad credit history and obviously cant get a loan through normal channels. 

Which is definitely a red flag if they ask to borrow from you.

 

Btw in talking about someone asking for a bit £50 on a night out or a tenner from a workmate to get lunch. More than happy to oblige that type of loan.

Let’s have it right, if the bloke didn’t lend Peter a few quid then he was doing Peter (and his boy) a favor and he probably knew it.

See, what sort of shit state have you got to be in as a man to ask a bloke you have met 3 times from an Internet forum for money?.......if you are the type to ask a dogs stroke like that then chances are you won’t be the type to pay it back.

Now, I’m guessing(and it is only a guess) that Gnasher would have thought exactly the same way and the last thing a bloke like Peter (and his family) would need would be lads like Gnasher flopping on them for a bad debt and a liberty.

Forgetting Peter, I’m guessing Gnasher just wouldn’t want to expose the young boy and the family to the consequences of his old mans stupidness.

I reckon he knew the bloke would be well out of his depth and only a wrong un bungs in a request like that anyway.

Some people just have no pride about them.
