Yes I'm seriously comparing the two because at the end of the day they're both pushing a button and killing a stranger . Just because ones getting paid by their government and the other doing for personal financial gain .

Contract killers or soldiers both killing strangers one for their government oil or money and the other for money for their own gain .

By the way I'm not a contract killer no beed for that gnash just playing devils advocate

We grant soldiers a certain amount of leeway as we accept their job is difficult and dangerous......for which they get a fairly low annual wage......what on earth has that ( or boxing ) got to do with cowardly killing an innocent person for a quick easy million ?.....it sounds like you are manipulating the question to suit your answer mate.

No you are not a contract killer but then you havent had the opportunity you said it yourself if someone was going to pay you a million quid to press a button and kill somebody you didnt know you would do it......so my mrs has an affair,i want a bit of payback so i place an explosive device under her car and offer you a million quid to press a button that will set it off......how is that scenario any different to the original question a man can either be bought or he cant.

You still on this lol

Right I know you're not gonna take someone else's opinion or point of view but I'll explain it again . Right the question was push a button and some you don't know will die and you get £££ and thats it . So my question was how is it any different from a person pushing a button for personnel gain and a soldier pushing a button because a government told you it was ok .

At the end of the day its a bloke be it a civilian or a soldier it's still a bloke pushing a button and a stranger is still dying .

Any clearer lol ?

Im reading something different in what I think your trying to say.. Politicians who decide on military action are pushing the button for personal gain. Whereas (from my perspective) soldiers are carrying out orders in the name of their queen and country. But after that you have mercenaries which is not out of duty but for renumeration.

Nope, I'd have beat the person asking to a pulp with his f***ing box. Money comes and money gos, being able to look at yourself as a man in the mirror every morning is much more valuable.

Tony Blair please

It's an interesting concept whatever, I look at it like this......it's not like being in combat or holding up a security van or whatever......those things take bottle, a bit of moral fibre.....you put

Everyone is starting to read the question wrong, it's as simple as this........do you want to live as a proper chap or a spiteful gutless little slag.......that's about the strength of it gents.

IMHO of course

Let me change the question around a bit, lots of people are saying they would press the button because it's a million quid.......

Now actually, in the grand scheme of life a million quid isn't that much money.......with a brain in your head there are plenty of ways to put that money together in a few years IF you want to take the chances.......

So if a million quid means enough to off a complete stranger then why don't it mean enough to take the risk to get it yourself ?

It's not so easy to make a million quid pal.

I mean have you seen the security banks and cash vans have these days?

And there's the nail on the head mate, that little word....EASY.......

No bollocks required ;)

I think the difference is one your risking a long time in jail away from friends and family and one you don't risk any jail time

We are a small company who make mainly high end kitchens for the wealthy... now bare with me ...when we Finnish a kitchen we give a gift to customer as a thanks for there trade one of the gifts we give is a top set of Damascus knifes and cutlery we buy them in in bulk so have a few kicking around ....now one ex employee took a shine to a set of these knifes and helped himself. To keep it short he got found out (cctv)and was rightly sacked on the spot ...now I bumped into this lad a few months back and just having a bit of a joke asked how he was getting on with the knifes ...his answer was I've chucked them every time I used them it was as if my food was tainted he said and he was full of regret as he was on a decent number with the job and now life aint so rosey. ...I just cant help thinking it would be the same for the million pound everytime you brought something it would just be tainted by what you did to get it making it worthless.

Well my take on it is this.

I would press the button no problem at all.

And would sleep great.

That night and all of the nights forthcoming.

2 out of my 3 lads have autism.

And I'm sure I've got autism aswell.

I've not much feelings for anything.

I'm quite blank to feelings.etc.

I love my wife and kids.

But could of made a great sniper etc.

As there's no feelings in me.

And I know that doing the worst thing to man.

Wouldn't affect me at all.

I don't believe I would have any trouble sleeping or spending the money, I have never killed anyone so I can't say for sure, I just don't think it is fair or right to kill an innocent person for money. If I was totally broke or desperately needed money for something important I don't believe I would kill an innocent person but who knows? I have never been broke in my life so it is hard to say.

At the end of the day everyone has their price, anyone says otherwise are kidding themselves.

I can guarantee I wouldn't kill a random for no reason not matter hiw much you offered me.

The price you can be bought for doesn't have to be money, it can be your own life or a life of a loved one, it takes a hell of a lot of principles to see a loved one die in front of you when you could push the button and stop it.

If you would press the button then you should at least have the bollocks to say so without trying to justify it with , but its just like or its the same as , at least stand by your decision

if this was aimed at me I'll answer like I already have said lol that my initial gut reaction was yes I could push the button. although I've got to say after a couple of days Of thinking about it and listening to others views , I have been questioning that decision .

Also I'm not trying to justify it I'm asking a simple question for debate on a forum .
