Distance is nothing for the right dog but not everyone can do it or as gnash said not everyone is that single mindedly stupid and committed ;)

Seen a stunning galgo last week sandy if that was what you were after,,,big fawn dog,,,talking to the owner who was hiking up the mountain behind our campsite,,,sadly it was rescued ,,,but he had it in terrific nick

To be truthful if it was a lurcher I wouldn't travel that far but then I'm not a lurcher man . I would only need a long dog for mooching nowadays so like W. Katchum said most cur lurcher dogs would do so why not one that's close to home.

 

Now a well bred terrier pup that's bred well I'd travel for and have done many times. Although I don't blame folk for saying its to far to go for something if they're not that into it wouldn't want them owning it . Lads forgive me here please but are general purpose lurchers not ten a penny ? ( I'm not talking lurchers that are bred for a specific job) I look in the lurcher section and there are so much variety and they mostly seem to do the job required . One lad in the bushing section got he's from a local pound and its seem a cracking dog .

No not really looked like a greyhound,,or a lurcher with a lot of grey in its make up,,nice creature

Not seen one yet without a snipey muzzle. Even my Mrs who has no idea comments when we see them around about how weak the jaw looks compared to Bron etc

Lost count of the times i've been up the lenght of the A1 for birds and dogs,blackpool,west wales,cornwall just to drop a dog off for someone and,went to Evesham a few weeks back just for a lining of a pals bitch from Norfolk and miles are time spent driving sat on your arse so to me no where is to far if what i want is there :thumbs: ..
