Am I missing something here.? Is Ross still asking this question or am I years out of date? Jok.

  2. Totally agree Bird. Watching his vids are very entertaining and even though he's over the pond it's easy to relate what's going on. Highly recommended but doesn't sort out the problem of having someone over here with a male mink. I wish the lad well. Jok.
  3. On a healthy note. I'm ok. However, the future son in law came round and mentioned he was partial to chillis. Gave him half of a ghost naga which he nonchentally chewed before, within seconds, his world exploded. Milk was no help as it took over his functions which to be fair gave us a bit of a howl. Poor lad was in bits for quite a while. He, appparantley, has put it on Facebook not to come any where near my kitchen. Jok.
  4. Bit of of a link earlier I think about hot chillis. I think I must have stumbled on something outrageous. All I did was cut the damned thing in half, washed my hands, had a piss and the world exploded. I' m on fire.
  5. Now then you guys. A comment and a question. In the 70's we fished for eels on the North Bank at Boston. Having fished for bleak on the way there and then a night of fishing before returning to Northampton. Cubed and jellied. Marvellous. Now the question. Lamprey. As a young lad in the borders of Scotland we regularly had these ugly things in the local brooks. They ate well as I recall being more or less an eel with a suction mouth. I have never heard of them since then. Local knowledge?????jok.
  6. Deep Earth. Yes mate I do. Mostly anything anyone asks for. It's fair to say I've made a few. Jok.
  7. Agree with Welsh-Red. And. On the subject of lederhosen , I bought my first pair many years ago and they gave me great comfort when out hunting, shooting and rabbiting. Amazingly comfortable and the ladies found them irresistible. Probably got the lederhosen wrong but you get my drift. Never, however, had a knife secreted within. Jok.
  8. That didn't answer my question. 2 Euros? Got to be a good deal. Lol. I totally agree with shaping the ferrule to the antler. What a result. Can't remember seeing another. Good work. Jok.
  9. A nicker over hear used to be an English pound so if I send you a couple of Euros will you send it over lol. What a lovely piece of work in that joining blade to grip. Fantastic. Jok.
  10. Hi geezer. How's you and yours? I'm afraid that with my brother no longer with us there seems little need for me to come up. Just seen your post re: chillis. I've got three breeds going which vary from hot to hotter. Send me your details again and I'll send some pods up. How's the fishing? Jok.

    1st car.

I get the feeling that we all have an interesting tale to tell about cars or vehicles we have owned in the past. I think we all think the same way ad in if only we still had them and the value nowadays. I must admit to having had quite a few . Fiat 500. Fiat 900. Austin Mini. Ford Anglia. Ford cortina. Lotus Cortina. Ford Granada. MK 2 ford cortina. Ford Capri 3 litre.. Zephyr. Then there was the bikes. Triumph tiger cub, bsa bantam, Ariel 350, Triumph 350 bathtub, Matchless 350, Norton Commando I think there were more but most recently the Honda Blackbird and before that the Pan European. Wh

    1st car.

1954 Rolls Royce Ccorniche. Metallic grey. Beautiful grey leather upholstery with red piping. Only joking mind. Jok.
  14. A heads up. We have started using raised boxes to grow our carrots. The results are fantastic. No carrot fly damage at all and really good carrots. I was, at one point, totally against this type of growing being brought up on the farm and with traditional tendencies . How short sighted I have been. Now however, not only am I growing carrots this way but strangely, tomatoes, sweet potatoes and in fact bringing on cabbage, cauliflower and beetroot from seed. It's a new dimension to me but the results are very good. Jok.
  15. Nice one Angie. Jim will be with us always. Jok.
  16. Nice one Terry and all of you. I agree, there is a hell of a lot coming off even though the drought has been a bit tough. Some veg have gone mad whilst others really struggled. Forget brassicas in our area. However, all in all I'm impressed and everyone down the local have been enjoying a good variety of veg. On a side note. Whilst driving round a local motorway island the other day, I was surprised to see a shit load of sloes and they are coloured up. Is everything early? Jok.
  17. My allotment is out of bounds. I'll shoot your legs off if I see you there. Lol.
  18. On here. Leslie . Leeds officialdo.
  19. If you go back through the posts on this subject, you will find various comments, including some of my own. BANANAS. The ducks flipping love them. My mate worked for a vegetable distribution firm and anything out of date was freely available. He supplied me with box after box of bananas and the results were great. I remember the farmer saying that he no longer had the ducks knocking on his cattle feed door . We used to lay them down about 200 yards from the flight pond and then drive them back. Come shooting season the birds were well sorted and flew around affording good shots. Magic.jok.
  20. Eh up Adam. First off, get the sleeping arrangement off the ground. One of the best beds, and freely available, are the bread baskets that all the supermarkets have. Right size, easy clean and with the right bedding totally a good idea. My opinion. Jok.
  21. Totally agree Terry. The shoot I try to be on as often as possible will NOT , for any reason, see game going to waste. We do everything, from pies, terrines, roasts, burgers , sausages and obviously the shoot dinners. Anything that isn't taken by the guns and friends generally ends up being delivered to me and I distribute accordingly. The kitty soon builds up and 2 of our stalkers get their annual dues paid from the proceeds. As far as I'm aware the shoot doesn't get much unwelcome attention but that is probably due to the diligence of the keeper and indeed the guns. Jok.
  22. So, so sorry to hear this bad news. Jim and I shared many a customer, with me passing repairs to him and in return him putting me forward for ferret boxes. We knew each other on the phone and by email but sadly not in person. My sincere condolences to family. RIP my friend. Jok.

    Cape Verde

One of the best holiday locations we have had . The accommodation was at first a bit to get your head round but overall nice and clean. No A/C so a bit warm through the night. Food good. Entertainment non existent , but all in all , as a family resort, not bad. The sea, as one might imagine, is amazing. Huge dunes so good walking. Be aware when swimming. The Red flag is there for a reason. The undertow is immense. We will definitely be going back. Jok.
