As an aside. I've been making shit loads of chutney as per the norm. Using the courgettes, onions, cauliflower, green climbing beans, runner beans and green tomatoes. The results are flying out the door. Everyone here are complaining about stringy runner beans but I seem to have escaped. I must admit however to having an early low down crop, then nothing, then a great top crop. Jok. -

We are in a right lather here in the Midlands. I know it's the same for everyone but this lack of rain is really playing havoc. Runner beans, if they set, are producing very stringy pods. Try digging spuds and they come up in what feels like a lump of concrete. Gooseberries cooking on the bush. Peas, that without water aren't producing peas. All in all the main crops are crap. Onions have been so so, carrots fantastic but only because I decided to try raised boxes and water frequently, outdoor tomatoes same as above and salads very good. Saving grace is my sweet corn which is ready and having -
Been on holiday so missed this. Ant. Where you live pal just get on with it. Post as much as you want and I guarantee nobody will bother you. Just as an aside, we had our Phillos distilling sidiqui for us in Riyadh. Fckg stuff was totally insane. Double distilled from memory and when tested over a spoon, no orange flames at all so pretty much pure alcohol . Yep, that would eventually send you blind. Notice my spelling mistakes ffs. Will try to see you later in the year but no promises. LAK. Jok.

You are a fckg heathen. WK. Jok.

Worm and maggot???? Who taught you anything about trout fishing.? That's poaching my friend. Trout need to be caught on the fly whether it be wet or dry, nymph or full bodied imitation, lure or otherwise. I think the only time you would use a worm is on a little stream or beck where it was impossible to present a fly. Only my humble opinion. I went this morning full of myself and to be honest caught nowt. This hot weather has sent them down, down, down. Anyway, good luck in your endeavours and as we say, 'Tight Lines'. Jok.

Thought I was seeing things today. Can you believe it. A rabbit. The first I've seen this year. I think it's going to be a lean year. Jok.

Bell. Out of curiosity , where do you go out from. The reason I ask is that I used to take my dive boat out from a number of places up there and met quite a few legends. Jok.

Bell. Strangely, the trout that we stock are blues. They have a beautiful coloured flesh and taste a lot different to standard rainbow. Allied to the addition of chilli, herbs and other accoutrements it makes for a fine dish. As we speak, I've completed the dishes of mousse and to be fair, it tastes lovely. Jok.

The pressed salmon with whisky is known as Gravadlax. (Spelling might be off). The Swedish do a hell of a lot as it is basically cured fish. I did it at home with rainbows and Browns and the results are quite impressive. Not difficult either. Just doing 2 smoked trout which will be turned into fish cakes and mousse. The guys love them. First lot of runner beans picked and shall be having them with dinner this evening. New spuds, Charlotte, carrots, broad beans, garlic, th3 runner beans and a home made pie. Absolutely the best. Jok. -
Byron. I should have added that this was from 1964 which in fairness is a long while and I didn't mention the dirt bikes and go c art that went in the mix. As I said, one hell of a ride. Rocker s we certainly were and proud of it. Jok.

They are Sweet Potatoe plants. Hope you get a good crop. Everything is looking good too. We are eating like kings and enjoying it. Like yourself I have runner beans going well and we all know that when you start picking them the things go daft. Terry D. I took on another garden for my grand daughter and it 's going well. She is genuinely interested and wants me to get her school interested. Looming retirement is starting to look busy. Jok. -
BSA Bantam 175. Triumph 200 Cub. Francis Barnett. Vellocette 350. Triumph 350 bathtub. Triumph 500 Daytona. Norton Commando fastback. Honda 750. Honda 850 import. Royal Enfield Intceptor. AJS 600 . Matchless 350 single. Honda Pan European. Honda Blackbird finished. What a fine ride that was. Jok.

Walshie. Only you could have started this. Lol. Missed your input of late pal. Jok.

Yes pal but to be honest he does not age. Look at him now and when he did the TT you'd hardly believe he's aged. Leon is a hell of a nice guy as well. To be honest all the guys are mint and one of my good friends, Peter Hickman, and his mum and dad, are great pals. The whole paddock, including Guy are the best. Jok.

Don't do long stories. Short version please. What is it? Jok.

Just to say that I am no stranger to speed. For my 60th birthday, I was gifted a track day at Donnington. One To One instructor and allowed flat out, no restrictions. Absolutely brilliant but when we got back I was asked to keep my leathers on and taken to the paddock garages. Within a couple of minutes a bike was heard roaring down and there was Rocket Ron Haslam on one of his race bikes. Hop on son and happy birthday. He advised me to hang on with my knees and clench tightly if and when I'd had enough. Well, 4 laps and believe you me I'd had enough. I'm a big bloke and Ron certainly is not

Got the Honda Blackbird 1998 carb model. The last Real outing was to the BSB round in Assen and managed 172mph on the bridge road back. My brother Ian. RIP! Managed 155mph on his Pan European and our other friend did 130mph on a CBR 1000. I have just sold the Blackbird but will remember it and am still astounded by it's ability.
