  1. It was filmed in a garden in Ilkeston, Derbs. One of our guys reckoned it can run like a stag. Mind you, it was a saluki trying it’s best. Jok.
  2. Still got something for you in my garage pal. Jok.
  3. IWW. Remember when I had my fall following the hip replacement? Well, nearly 12 months have passed and on Friday I’ m in for an MRI scan. I wonder how long the results will take? Now don’t get me wrong, the hospital people are certainly under immense pressure and I totally sympathise with them. However, pain is pain and discomfort isn’t much better. I hope your neighbour recovers quickly. Jok.
  4. Check their eyes if buying. We know what a collie throws. Fck eejits but hey ho. Jok
  5. Well Jim Telfer was my coach. Ecky is my godfather. We had the Kings Arms. Three houses up Dingleton Hill towards the golf course. Sister still lives in Earlston but to be fair I hated that ground. We played sevens there and won as I recall. The Earlston boys couldn’t cut it. I’m sure things have changed dramatically since my day but it was great to be at the Greenyards for Doddies send off. Even got myself on Skynews acting the goat. Incidentally Jim Shearer was also school coach at Galashiels Academy. Jok.
  6. Hi geezer. I hope you have a good time ,in June, I’n Scotland. I’m sure you’ll have some stories for us. For your well being, we don’t hunt roe deer, we stalk them. It’s customary for a visitor, having shot his first roe, to eat the raw liver and mark his proud forehead with a bloodied hand. Secondly, whilst you are over here make sure you ask the Ghillie to point you in the right direction for the illusive 3 legged hill haggis. Not many are seen never mind shot as they are a lot quicker than a deer. Then to cap it off, try for the illusive salmon. This entails being flung into a raging river
  7. Aye up Chev. Did you ever manage the Eildon Walk. Starts at Eildon village and ends in Bowden. We used to do two laps of the Greenyards in Melrose and then run the Eildons. I’m talking a good talk here. Never finished it. Gruelling isn’t the word. Jok.
  8. It was a pleasure Walshie. I know a man but he is in Swadlincote, Derbs. Jok.
  9. You hit it pal. I’m in of those places atm. Jok.
  10. Have a word with John Russell on here. He’s in your neck of the woods. Jok.

    Question

Oh go on Paulus spoil the thread with superior knowledge. Give the lads and lasses a chance to be in laughing mode. I’ll start. We were on RAF Upper Heyford when a Red Warning went off. Everyone were locked in as the flight of F1/11 ‘s went off which in itself was something to behold. Eventually calm was restored and we were in the PX when a lady came in, quite distressed. The long and short of it was that she was now watching a shot on TV of the moon and it was explained that her husband and fellow crew member ere indeed on the dark side of the moon. Well, we did not laugh loudly but it was

    Question

Cause you don’t want to see or be on the dark side. Jok.
  14. What a result pal. I’m envious as hell. The main reason being, we are bereft of rabbits in this area of the Midlands. To get those numbers , I imagine just you and the dog is fckg great. Well done and long may it continue. Incidentally the weather conditions look favourable. Jok
  15. Charts. I wish you would say it as you really mean it with complete venom. What a f***ing ridiculous comment to make in a war theatre. Treat it as a game of chess and the more you take out the better or words to that effect. Knobhead. Jok.
  16. Geographically Walshie, where are you? Jok.
  17. Ask Shark on here. Jok.
  18. Have a word with Canute, he’ll have some ideas. Jok.
  19. My personal comment. How can we reach former members who no longer feel free to comment on hunting topics. Since I joined and enjoyed, immensely, both from the ferreting, box making and gardening topics, everything seems to have gone down the pan. We no longer get the friendly answers to genuine enquiries and or comments. I, open this forum every morning and evening, religiously, and always look forward to the variety of comments. However, it has become an ongoing argument which to be fair, I, can do without. Some of the lovely people who I’ve met on here and indeed at my house, no longer are
