There's nowt wrong with sleeping rough as long as you don't cause a nuisance. It's safer sleeping in the woods than on the streets, though you can't beat a dry disused place that you can seal up once you're inside.
  2. Catcher, I'm ruled by my own country - Britain! Joe, Quebec voted no to independence from Canada in 1995.
  3. Here's a few quick facts for you. The UK punches well above it's weight and by being part of that Scotland shares in it's wealth. The UK is the 22nd most populous country on the planet, it has the 6th largest economy (3rd largest in Europe), this years growth sits at 3.2% (which is above the threshold where a lot of new jobs are created), and before the recession hit manufacturing output was at its highest ever levels. The rest of the UK is Scotland's main trading partner. Scotland would never have developed industrially without the union with Britain. There would've been no market for Sco
  4. I'm sure this isn't the case with the nationalists on here, but I've spoken to a good number of the yessirs, and the impression I get is that they tend to be on the thicker and more gullible side, as we as being a bit 'loud' in expressing their opinions. Maybe I've just been speaking to the wrong people
  5. You've probably noticed it's the Yessers who shout the loudest. Bear in mind that polls show most of the Jocks want to remain in the UK.
  6. Polls are back in favour of the no vote
  7. There's nothing to stop them filming you on a public path as long as they stick to it. They'll get their kicks out of getting a reaction from you, so the best thing to do would be to ignore them and they'll eventually get bored.
  8. Vote Yes for Independence! Everything we say is true! Everything we say will become true! Money will grow on trees, and we will massively increase spending on the welfare state through declining oil revenues. Vote Yes for Alex Salmond and the SNP (The Scottish Nose Pickers).
  9. I always carry a knife unless I'm drinking as it's a very useful tool. I don't have anything to worry about either as it's within the law (usually a Swiss Army Knife or some other non locking folder).

    Whisky

Definitely Talisker (unless he cracks open a bottle of Laphroaig).
  11. They make good pets? Maybe people like their playful and affectionate nature, and you can exercise them into fit strong dogs. I've got the same frame of mind as you regarding gun dogs, I don't see the point in having them unless you're planning on working them but I hear they can also make good pets.
  12. If you want to go cheap get a pair of Dunlop Aciforts and buy a pair of Sorbothane insoles for them. If you want to go expensive get a pair of Dunlop Puroforts.
  13. I'll agree with that. I remember looking around the rehoming places around 2000 and you never saw any Staffords, they nearly all mongrels and crosses.
  14. If you end up desperate you could look for a decent dog walker in the short term. An hours road work's better than sitting in a kennel.
  15. That cairn terrier could've done with a bullet, and what were those folk like walking the great dane as if it was a bully kutta. I wouldn't risk walking any dog I couldn't physically handle.
  16. I was born British, I'm proud to be British and I don't want my country broken up. Speaking to nationalists I find a lot of are living in the past after having watched Braveheart a few too many times.

    God

I think the Bible's best read as an allegory rather than a set of laws that have to be followed, interpreted by each person on it's own merits. Do that and you might live a more virtuous life, be less worried about death, and take a less extreme view of religion.
  18. You can usually tell the posers by the size of their pecs, rather than the size of their back
  19. I would have him doing body weight exercises like press ups, chin ups, step ups and such like until he's sixteen, then hit the weights. Mix in some light strongman exercises into a circuit like swinging a sledge hammer and carrying loaded bags, and that should give a good base of strength for his age. I find the main problem with novice lifters is that they don't eat enough food to gain mass.
  20. Does anyone wear Altbergs? I'm thinking about getting a pair myself.
  21. Have a test simliar to a driving licence so that to own a dog you need to show that you have a certain level of understanding of dog training, care and psychology. If you have a dog and haven't passed the test then you'd face a hefty fine and lose your dogs. That should weed out some of the idiots and people who're unable to control their dogs.

    Channel 5 .. Now

Remember it used to be Alsations, then Dobermanns and Rottweilers that were the devil dogs. Give it enough time and they'll move on to something else like bandogs or other mastiff breeds.

    Channel 5 .. Now

You really wonder how stupid some people can be - they can all expect a chap at the door now.
  24. If you want warmth and comfort get a pair of Dunlop Puroforts. Mine were comfier than a pair of slippers with good grips to boot.
  25. You can pad up and train hard ......... I dunno if it's generally the case but the Krav Maga club I was interested in joining never done any hard sparring. There's a big difference between doing set up attack-defend movements and sparring with an opponent who's moving around and trying to hit you back hard.
