I wasn't too keen on the programme he presented about immigration last night. From what I caught of it, it seemed to be too biased in favour of illegal immigration.
  2. I've spent a bit of time living in Russia and know a lot of Russian's. I find them as nice and friendly as anyone I've met in Britain.
  3. Russian navy sends ships to the Med - press thinks up sensationalist stories to sell newspapers.
  4. The first load of rebels from Eastern Aleppo are driven through government controlled parts of the city towards their stronghold in Idlib: https://youtu.be/C5HaOs69O2U
  5. Two-thirds of child refugees screened by officials found to be adults, Home Office figures show: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/10/18/two-thirds-of-child-refugees-entering-uk-found-to-be-adults-figu/
  6. Back to Syria... A rebel held town, and a suburb of Damascus have surrendered to government forces: https://www.almasdarnews.com/article/rebel-held-town-western-ghouta-surrender-saas-advance/ https://www.almasdarnews.com/article/rebels-surrender-another-important-suburb-rural-damascus/
  7. The Russian's were invited into Syria by their allies the Syrian government. Their air strikes often target Al Qaeda affiliated jihadists, while NATO air strikes are mainly aimed at ISIS. The main difference is that the Russian and Syrian Air Force will target enemy forces regardless of whether they're mingling with civilians, while NATO forces will try and avoid civilian casualties. Time will tell which strategy is most effective.
  8. One of the biggest problems with the Middle East has been Western powers destabilising nations over there. If you want to help refugees, increase the amount of aid for those in refugee camps in neighbouring countries.

    Beard Children

Another story about it: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/10/17/from-the-calais-jungle-to-croydon-migrant-children-arrive-in-bri/ Seeing pictures of the 'children' many of them looked in their mid twenties. It turns out David Cameron signed a deal earlier in the year to take illegals who claimed they had family over here, whether they had documents to prove their age or not.
  10. The problem with a lot of these videos is that they don't show the lead up to the confrontation, or are cut to show the police in a bad light. Once body cams become commonly used by the police it will hopefully cause a lot less bellendish behaviour, by both the police and the people they're dealing with.
  11. I can't see oil prices rising any time soon. Once the price starts rising it becomes profitable for American oil firms to do a lot more fracking, increasing oil production and pushing oil prices back down.

If you're worried about beasts in a field then stick to the fence line.
  13. As the worst attacks seem to be on children, how about giving school pupils an hours tuition on dog handling at school each year? If they have dogs they'll probably take it in and pass the information on to their folks. It won't stop the hardcore dog idiots but it should cut the number of attacks due to ignorance.
  14. If you ban Stafford's, idiots will move on to other 'tough' breeds like Alsatians and Dobermanns. Then you'll end up with calls for those breeds to be banned after a spate of attacks due to bad breeding, training and handling, as their popularity shoots through the roof.
  15. I notice a lot of celebrities adopt a cause to supposedly improve their reputation. Be it helping refugees, supporting PETA or saving badgers etc.
  16. 'Former' communist SNP MP plans to turn an independent Scotland into a socialist utopia: http://www.heraldscotland.com/politics/14798245.SNP_MP__39_s_plan_for_Scotland_to_be_an_anti_capitalist_laboratory_labelled_bonkers/?ref=twtrec
  17. Negotiations continue to surrender east Aleppo: https://www.almasdarnews.com/article/negotiations-surrender-east-aleppo-continue-syrian-army-rebels/
  18. Bring it on. Another defeat should see the end of separatism and Nic will go the way of Salmond.
  19. Unfortunately, one of the facts of war is that civilians get killed.
  20. Some interesting food for thought about Aleppo vs what you're getting fed on the news:
  21. If they get caught doing it up here they'll get lifted for Breach of the Peace.
  22. The airport that was bought out by the Scottish Government and now cost taxpayers £750000 a month: http://m.heraldscotland.com/news/14791789.Prestwick_Airport_costing_taxpayer___750_000_a_month/?ref=twtrec
  23. I've done a lot of digging in Altberg Defenders and they hold up fine.
  24. Don't forget the huge numbers of European slaves captured by the Barbary Slavers: http://www.ancient-origins.net/ancient-places-africa/white-slaves-barbary-002171
  25. I'd be happy to see separate drug tested and untested sports federations like you get in powerlifting.
