    I only keep terriers but my friends have hounds and lurchers and they do really well on it especially in the cold weather they keep really good condition, we all soak it in boiling water and let cool then add beef chicken or pork. I use the O Neil's dog food, I buy off the supplier £7.50 for 18kg can't be beaten for value for money. It retails at nearly double that mind you : ) Don't put boiling water over it pal it destroys all the nutrients in it just put warm water over it Question is would you feed it dry or not?     A heat mat wouldn't make much of a difference pal I've tried it for my whippet cross and after I put her blanket over the mat I couldn't really feel the heat so just got her a good coat and job done

    I use the wildhunter 15 ah lithium battery I get two good night's lamping out of it and there does be some power in it there's a button which tells you how much power is left
