    Tbh I have no experience running fallow but some of the big wolfhound and deerhound crosses used for pigs are from a long line of working dogs and seeing the way some of them cover the ground I believe they could run down and tackle a fallow size animal but would be too big and clumsy to catch a nimble and agile rabbit. I certainly could be wrong but hopefully one day I can find out for sure if the laws change...

    I was thinking straws previously, partly because of cost and partly because of the stress the travel and quarantine would put on a young pup or any dog. As I have been researching this subject I have heard some horror stories from people bringing dogs over, but I would really love to test out a true coursing bred dog over here, not a cross, which is obviously all I could do with straws. One of my bitches I would not consider breeding at all and the other is very young but is a chance of one day meeting my standards but if the litter is all crap it is a lot of time, money, effort wasted...     I have no real problem with dingoes, at least they are native, but if I had sheep I would take measures to control them. Feral dogs I will kill any which way I can. I have seen what they do to a flock of sheep and it is not pretty at all. I have heard donkey's are good at protecting flocks from dingoes / feral dogs or I would get a maremma style dog. I do hope fallow become classified as a pest here, there are plenty near me and I will definitely run them if I can. I don't know how he would go but I would love to give my bull arab a crack at them, if he could catch them I would love to see him

    cheers of that buddy Id love to go to oz, its one of about three places I have any desire to visit at all hunting my dogs there would be a dream, so much open space, would be a great experience, would love to know how they got on out there, be some great tests I would imagine if you want this type of dog to try over there, I ve a litter at the minute there deffo be a spare pup you sort getting it over and I will send it no chew, then we see if they would suit That is about as fine an offer I could ever imagine as true coursing stock is basically non existent in this country from my expe

    you got good stags in Oz , they catch big deer no prob , i know they used catch big Roos and the odd dingos with them, before they put the ban on Roos, ive read that and seen old picss on the Oz site . Been looking to day at the site , and seen some nice pups a lad got on there ridge/pit x stag he got them for pigs, but i reckon they pull big deer easy .     That was my opinion that you must have a good line of coursing dogs, as any time I have seen pictures of any of your dogs they look top notch but I think you should bring them over to oz and let me see that with my own eyes though, just to prevent conjecture lol. six reds with one dog in a weekend sounds ludicrous to me but I have seen some dogs pull off some amazing things that people would not believe and people I trust have told me stories I believe that sound a bit far fetched. If it is true it must be some dog!

    I think shaddy must have a good line of bull xs, db a good line of pure salukis and Arctic a good line of coursing dogs and that will always create drama on thl. I am jealous of all of you, as my attempts at coursing have not been very successful so far but I reckon I have a better boar dog than any of you lol

    I like Tommy Robinson myself and wish there were many many more like him. I feel a bit sorry for his family though, they must have some hard times. I would definitely want to be single if I was doing what he is doing. He certainly doesn't lack courage!

    Believe it or not I am happy to hear that, maybe thirteen years ago they built them different, I have heard numerous stories here how great rangers are until things start going wrong, while the old hilux just keeps chugging on. In saying that I have heard bad things about the new model hilux.
