  1. That would be my concern. If we were to have any decent numbers in the future, they have to be given opportunity to breed. I think if they were assisted in their distribution for conservation purposes, that would be a start...... why would an invasive pest need conservation? Until they get to a number where they don't get completely wiped out. Same applies to rabbits, hares, other types of deer etc.....

  3. The Muntjac is a more than welcome addition to South Wales. It would be nice for the numbers to catch up with the likes of the South West.....
  4. Happy days Mind you, this rain is really a pain at the min.......
  5. My vasectomised hob stays in with the jills all year round.
  6. Plenty of fire in wild polecats.
  7. Actually, a mink that was properly raised from a kit has far more self control as an adult, and is much gentler than it was as a baby. Here's a video of adult mink playing with me...... https://youtu.be/bDv310mh1R8 Interesting stuff that Minkenry
  8. Never heard of that?! My preferred option when I don't require kits is always the vasectomised hob
  9. A combination of hobs and jills for me dependant on the type of ground you are putting them into (i.e. hedgerows, open warrens etc.) where access to dig can sometimes be difficult. I do like the ability of jills to slip through the net meshes without disruption after spending a long time setting nets in blackthorn bushes, but if all else fails hobs are excellent for shifting the reluctant ones
  10. Try Skycat on here, she may be able to help. She breeds some excellent stuff.
  11. I think I paid £75 for my last one to get the snip about 2yrs ago.
  12. VERY impressive Rob. I wish I had made a similar suggestion for the Ermine you did for me
