  1. it will be righthanded mate but the cheek piece isnt sharp so can be used lefthanded easy. i perfer bolt on right so when shooting bipod you dont have to take your eye off the scope
  2. 4x12x50 or 4x16x50 is fine mate. mag isnt as important as good optics well i agree some mag is good for this caliber as if your zeroing alot of mag can be handy to see where the bullets are going. but clear optics are the way to go
  3. if thats the case then change 223 for a 243 its no hardship.
  4. is it a 20 tac he is building mate ?
  5. see how it go's mate try it with out filter and if there spooked then get a red or orange filter cover
  6. i think that means rabbits keith. i was thinking it may be deer but then if it was it would more then likely say deer. glad you got the open ticket mate
  7. its not the light that puts the fox off its your movement or noise. also if a fox has been shot at alot and you have missed next time he sees the lamp he no's something is up.
  8. i wouldnt buy the 204 inless i had the reloading gear at home ready for it. if you get a good mod for the 22/250 its no louder then 223 mr l my 22/250 with ase mod is no louder then my mates 223 with the same mod ? with 22/250 you could go from 40 grain bullets up to 60 grain so have more choice in bullet weight. i would save the money and reload the 243. imo all are too much for rabbits though
  9. yes there not bad mate. some of there stuff is dear but he has to make a living. and he is allways good to chat to in the store.
  10. hi mate it wont take much mod to mute the sound of 222 a t4 would be more then you need. my mate jonty has a dm80 on his and that works superb. it depends on how much you want to spend. if you dont mind spending the money then the ase is the dogs bollocks its the only mod i would have now on a centrefire. just make sure you get the cqb as that is the one for 22 centrefires. your more then welcome to pop round and see the ase i have on my 22/250. if you go to dave alcock in stourport he got mine for £265 which is the best price i have seen it
  11. h mate im intrested like to see some pictures
  12. im sure its the same turbo engine they used in older mazdas mate. if thats the case then there be spot on
  13. as long as there on your permission and the farmer says you can shoot them then your fine. just make sure its the season for them
  14. i had one im mine it will last ages but is abit snappy compared to spring.
  15. look out for a old webley raider mate there underated and super accurate worth 250 all day long
  16. thing with the cheaper scopes is at night it will show up under the lamp compared to say a zeiss,s&b,swaro, meopta bushnell elite is about the best scope for around £2800 to £300 pound if you want mag like 6x24x50 then for £400 to £500 the zeiss conquest and then s&b and swaro if you want the £1000 pound ones. for me the zeiss works perfect for my needs its mid priced but can see foxes out to 300 yards with it in the lamp that suites my shooting needs perfect. and i like the fact its 25 mm tube so saves alot of weight lads are right though the rifle is only as
  17. i would say it is but i think simmons have there optics made there now and the new simmons scopes are not as good as the old model ones. i would save abit more and get a better model like the supernight view model you can pick them up for £79.99 now
  18. you can adjust the standard trigger on the t3 but if you want a superb two stage trigger then get the jackson cg unit. i tryed one on a friends rifle a couple of months back and it is superb. you can adjust it to and even move the trigger blade. plus the blade is nice and thick so if you have big fingers it will suite you better when you pull for let off
  19. what you need to do is ring dave that sells the dm80 mods and get one shipped to your rfd or pick it up if you live close to the manchester area. i for one wouldnt use the decoying.co.uk there has been no end of problems with them and there turn around has been abit rubbish. thats why the mods have gone up as they add there money on top of the mod !
  20. yes i have ase jetz cqb on my 22/250 super build and performance. never had any problems with the mod unscrewing i guess thats just down to how tight the thread is cut on the rifle ? or alot of shots on range mite undo the mod a little. you wont go wrong with the ase mod if you plan to use it on just the 223 and not on a bigger caliber rifle then get the cqb model its made for 22 centrefires. there around £299 pound now but i no a place that does them for £265 if you cant get one for that price local pm me and i will tell you the place
  21. dont forget most semi auto 22lr's will get the odd jam. just keep the mags and chamber clean. also if you look on the sites in the states most of the semi auto rifles are made for hv ammo not subs
  22. true there isnt realy a fox problem on the colf courses i shoot but if i had it on my licence id go and find permishion for it i would go fac air for around the buildings and in places where rimfire and would be to risky to use. 22lr for vermin control [ i put 22lr to be used more at night as the rabbits are in range more and its more silent] 17 hmr for longrange vermin control [ in the day where rabbits are out of range of 22lr so hmr is perfect for this] 222 for fox control your having problems with the foxes and a 222 is the humane way of sorting the problem out. after all rimfire
  23. ive had them all mate it pisses all over the sak. the sak leak at the joints the dm80 dont. you pay your money take your choice i no which one i perfer
  24. shouldnt change the poi i have never had the problem with that on my rifles weather its 22lr hmr or 22/250. the only time it mite change is ? say you set your rifle up and then after lots of shots with out cleaning the mod you clean it ! then you mite see a difference
