  1. yes mine is fatory set at 1lb and its superb for hunting
  2. if its the shorter version of the t8 it will be the t4. there ok but if you want the best mod for 223 imo its the ase cqb i and two other mates have them on there rifles and there superb. the other thing on the steyr to watch out for is the stock mate. there abit flex in them from what i have been told
  3. for the price of them i would perfer a sako buddy but thats me.
  4. there isnt much to up grade from a jewell trigger mate. there is a place in the usa that sells the jewell trigger cheap. i got one for around £120 pound in our money. in the shops here there anything from £200 to £250 ! its the best money i have ever spent and improved my shooting no end. im sure you have to have a import ticket now to get stuff like that from the usa. but there are ways round it pm me if you want one
  5. if you can get the 22/250 get it mate.
  6. Recoil on a 22-250? You big girl Although I will say one thing - it is nice seeing the bullet strike, especially at night. you must be a big girl mate if you cant carry abit of extra weight  hard to see the strike of the 22/250 as it does lift abit
  7. True, CZ511 a very reliable semi auto, but beware the trigger, which is insanely rubbish. abit of work by a gunsmith and it will be fine
  8. i like heavy barrel mr l. less recoil
  9. isnt the 35 grain bullets made for the hornet ? if so in the reloading book i got it says anything over 3400 fps will just make the bullet come apart. so you aint going to get the accuracy you wanted
  10. what i would do is set a target up at different ranges shoot at them and then you will find out how many clicks you need to go up on them
  11. i know what woz was on about they are your toys. there what you get injoyment out of when shooting. he didnt mean we treat them like toys. we all no that they have to be used properly and safely
  12. who gives a shite what weight it is its dead now thats the best thing
  13. i was told there a bag of shit. ot very accurate and keep jamming. this was by a well know gunsmith. if you want a semi auto try the cz 511
  14. any of the above will do more then nicely. ive seen loads shot with 223 and its more then you need. depending on your land and how open it is and how go a shot you are then it will depend on what range you shoot foxes at. the 22/250 has more legs and is flatter shooting but the rounds cost abit more. but to be fair the top make factory 223 ammo is just as dear to buy. go see some different rifle in the shop and see which one you like the feel of. if you want a cheaper rifle look at the howa package of rifles. most rifles have same accuracy in factory form. the best bet is a good scope
  15. your best bet i would say would be a softpoint. i dont shoot deer so someone that does will give you better advise. but softpoints seam to be the ones people go for
  16. best thing you can do is go to a shop with a good stock of 223 rifles and see what you like the feel of. tikka's are nice rifles i would have one if i was after 223 but saying that the remmingtons are nice to and have lots of add ons. sako are top rifles and superb in build but wont be any more accurate. i have a winchester and there worth a look there well build and can be had for good prices
  17. send me the picture if you want i will put it up for you. if not join photobucket its much more easy to put them on then
  18. get the 22/250 mate tikka or sako will see you well. keep the 22lr for rabbits then the 22/250 for foxing and long rage rabbits. if it was me and you need the range for rabbits out to 150 yards then i would get a hmr and sell the 22lr
  19. why dont you save some money and get the howa 204 that skanny is selling on the bbs. its a shooter, comes with mounts, dies, dewey rod, bore guide, and post to your rfd ! its doing under a inch at 200 yards so you cant moan at that ! all for £375 pound ! im sure he would take you out to shoot it to if you went to pick it up. I don't have firearms sales section on the BBS sadly, so didn't know. Tbh the shop in question is working hard for me so I think unless they take the piss at any stage they can keep some of my money at least. i can get you his contact details mate if you
