  3. Yeah could be he is well endowed lol....no seriously it can get a bit ruff especially if the hobb is a strong boy or alot bigger. I had one hobb i used to have to keep an eye on, he would grab the jill by the back of the neck and procceed to smash her against the hutch until she gave in or was knocked out Just keep an eye out after 3 days he should have done what hes going to do but if you can wittness a lock on all the better, perhaps remove him/her and give it a few days to see if she starts to come out of season .If she dont you can always put him back in,but my guess would be he has sorte

I rekon you could do the whole lot for about £750 and it would be a top job, company could be 2-3 grand its difficult without seeing the land, number of gateways etc but i suspect those figures wont be far out.

    Fencing!

Ok iam paying roughly £2.65 for a 4 inch x 6ft post normally spaced about 8ft apart but i would go down to 6ft for pigs.Stock fencing i pay about £98.00 for 100 mtrs galv 800mm high.Barbed wire i pay £34 for 200 mtrs.Make sure you put double strainers on every corner and single strainers on any gate posts. If your doing long straight runs then i normally add a double strainer every 20-30 mtrs. It is really easy to put this stuff up the main thing is keeping it all taught, there are specialst tools for this however i have used a bar and ratchet straps to good effect. Run a double strand of wire

He does love the military things though, one if the lads I ferret with is milatary, he gave him a load of photos of tanks, rocket launchers firing ect, so they went on his bedroom wall.. Lol yeah no what you mean my youngest boy (5yrs) wants to be an SAS sniper ,stunt man, drive a lorry, chop every fecking living tree down he sees, work with me,kill rabbits,..oh and marry his mum lol .Going on his first 5 years id say he has a future in demolition!

  10. If your house is more than 30yrs old and or you have any doubt about the chimmney then line it. Wood burner short length of solid pipe through registar plate join to flexi liner terminate with cowl, you are better filling the stack with vermiculite once liner is installed helps retain heat and stops condensation forming in the flue.To install one is very simple but if your in any doubt call in an expert.

  14. Hi mate i feed my lot pigeons regular as i have a steady supply, i shoot alot of ferals for local people out of barns etc.My lot have them whole and love em i do rough pluck them though as otherwise cage gets trashed to quickly! The only reason i can think of as regards best to have hobb & jill is if your ever thinking about breeding otherwise there is no reason whats so ever.I know people that have only jills and i know people who only have hobbs.
  15. Yeah i agree -Mole Man if iam ever in doubt in goes my boy / boys . Slower yes but more thorough for sure ,strong as an ox and although i still work jills, most of the time if the warren size allows il slip in a hobb or 2 to mop up. I love my girls for sure but if i ever had to choose between jills and hobbs ,then hobbs would win hands down for me
  16. Second that mate,f***ing amazes me how low people will stoop
  17. Vasectomised hobb where iam is about £60-70 , yes get jill asap ferrets genrally do not do well on there own mate. There will be loads of kits available in the next couple of months ,you do not have to get a jill ,hobbs will live fine together especially if they are simular age,i have 3 hobbs together 24/7 never had a problem. Some people prefer hobbs for working and i wouldnt part with mine for the world!
  18. well thats put me off mackeral fishing in me 10ft dinghy!
  19. Spun poly imo is the best ive used, hemp is good but you must hang them out to dry properly otherwise they rott. You do not need to breed your hobb or jill, however with jills if you do not have 100% hygine they can get potental fatal infections. You can have your jills jabbed to take them out of season, you can use a vasectomised hobb to bring her out,or just keep her and the hutch spotless and she will be fine.I would advise against breeding until you have a good knowledge of ferrets and you are sure you can house the kits which can be anything from 1-14 in number! If you have 1 hobb and one j
