Ive got one for you lads that Ive been thinking about. The US dont get these attacks yet they are heavily involved in the middle east battles, why???? Ever noticed the attacks that happen in US are in schools and churches? Because 90% of yanks carry gun in most public places so if the muslims tried this over there they would be shot down after half a dozen casualties not 100+. I know we would never have laws on these shores to allow guns but it would put us on a level playing field. Watch what happens in US if obama gets his way and bans guns, they will be targeted. It was on the news

big news yesterday morning Uk and US forces combine with millions of pounds of intel and hardware to kill jihadi John...one of them. yesterday evening 120+ killed by half a dozen amateurs? when will these people realise our battle is on our doorstep not in syria or middle east. whilst they are out there leave them out there. Lets sort the ones we have here. The police/inteligence agencies know who they are and allow them to carry on living here whilst monitoring them, no different to the released peadophiles and rapists they allow to live among us. They should publisice a list of names

well done to you both by the way, top night by the looks.

Is she pure whippet trev, and is she from a line bred by yourself or someone you know for work or was she a good buy? Do you have any plans to breed? Im hoping to get a rabbit dog in a few years and I was thinking whippet or whippet cross for the smaller size. The perms I have are only small, paddocks and cricket pitch etc, dog would mainly be ferretin and moochin not running big numbers. plus chances are Id only be out once a week.
-
As socks said, if you mainly do beating and rough shooting its a spaniel or a lab. No proper shoot is guna want a lurcher tearin it up when you bush out a bit of fur! A dog for a job fella.

I had 18 degrees on the dash in Doncaster today...10th of November?!

I would love to have it out now but it would run of on a scent at the moment I think, o much of a risk until its more trained , 6 months old , why would you have it out now ? Do you think it would steady it up? If a pup is likely to run off on a scent now itll run off at 6 months! when a pup is really young is the time to get it used to being off lead walk in an open area and keep changing direction so it realises if it doesnt follow you it might lose you, when a pup gets older and realises it can dissappear and has co fidence to do that it can be hard to get that back, just my opinion.

It'll do bugger all on a cold day in an uninsulated shed, plus dear to run if left on all day. yep!
-
oil filled rad be no good for a 5m x 5m workshop/shed fella. They ok for small insulated spaces imo.
-
My lab is 18 months and I have started breaking her to them and its been fine. The misus also has to westies and I have tried these but got no chance with one of em, he goes straight into the kill zone, there is no reasoning with him. So personally I think it depends on the dog.

Like that I bought one similar to this second hand for about 50 euro, just to put into a house temporary, while im doing it up a bit, great for scrap wood, but burns too hot and fast, need the vents closing right down or before you know it its glowing red, specially plank off cuts - lots of surface area, too much heat! Other down side is, to clean it out of ash it needs to be cool as you need to go in through the top to do it properly, as the drawer at the bottom is like a handbrake on a canoe! Be good for a garage or big shed. Might put a lodge type shed up in a few years, this thing w

Ive got a different a mate fetched back from france for me. basically a top loader barrel sized with flue out back at top so can have pan/kettle on flat plate. Had it a while but will be fitting it in next few weeks.
-
Same here....because I went to investigate the noise with a cricket bat!
-
As said above I would consider some heat barrier between burner and shed still. I am just in the process of fitting one in mine amd I am using staonless steel flue liner as a heat deflector around the back
-
The you want one of these to go through roof; Check out this item I found on eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=252054588363&alt=web

a saying from a friend of mine. He used to say this when we built camp fires whilst fishing that if we werent camping usually ended up being closer to a bonfire! Indian build fire, keep warm. White man build fire, burn wood.
-
Same here. I have one in the lounge and sit watchin it while missus is watchin tele...she thinks Im some sort of cave man! We have a solid fuel aga in kitchen aswell that runs heating and hot water. Our house is usually red hot all winter!
-
Im guessing you did some work out there jok? I havent, and dont intend to but worked with an old fella who did. He told me everyone had stills in the compounds but never went outside either with drink or pissed because how the saudi police were. Im sorry but I have no sympathy. Its not about citizenship, its not about age, he will have know the laws, he will have known the consequences, yet he still decided to transport the wine? To me he deserves the lashes and even more so he should accept that and take them like a man and try his best to stare the lasher in the eye afterwards, smile an

So Who Wants To Release Wolves Back In The Countryside ?
ryaldinhio replied to neil cooney's topic in General Talk
there's strong evidence to suggest that introducing a apex predator has a significant positive effect on the natural environment as in yellow stone. However the Scottish Highlands aren't yellow stone it seems total madness to me that they ban hunting deer with dogs yet there solution to the deer problems eating tree saplings causing land deterioration is to release a pack of wolf's that will no doubt be in direct conflict with livestock...shooting deer doesn't really solve the problem as it doesn't keep the deer on there toes moving them around and keeping constant pressure on them as a susta -
So Who Wants To Release Wolves Back In The Countryside ?
ryaldinhio replied to neil cooney's topic in General Talk
its nature. they are after a meal. no they shouldnt be released here. we are too densley populated on such a small island to start releasing animals which may have been wild hundreds or thousands of years ago. there is a reason why they are extinct, presumably they were killing livestock so were hunted?
