I'm the same first few hard frosts and then it's time. Haven't had the rods out yet since fishing for the eel in the summer.Is there a story behind 'the eel' or is it just in general you fish for eels in summer? http://www.eelfishing.co.uk/eel.php I know what an eel is fella! had em to 4lb, not that I was fishing for them. Just wondered if that was what you spent most your time fishing for?

Coal burns best with air from underneath, wood with air passing over the top. If you are burning coal have these shut, if you are burning wood have the bottom ones shut and use these to regulate air.

If I was a manager against manu at the minute and saw martial sticking wide and rooney with his back to goal constantley and midfielders not pushing on into the box I would be well happy. This is not the Manu way.

I did see the game and he did lose it a couple of times but I would argue when more of the game is coming through him more than any other player then he will inevitabley lose it more than anyone else. Didnt see schniderlin or mata do much again. Herrera was lucky to stay on the pitch IMO as he seemed to have a rat up his ar*e from kick off and couldve easily picked up a couple of yellows. Plus schwiney hasnt played for last three games so guna be a bit off the pace. We have lost too many good players and not replaced them, and players they have released wouldve been doing a job for them no

I rate him. Dont see him lose the ball much and he controls games when he is in them. I used to think he looked slow but thats his style, some of the passes he picks out and his touches are top class. If we all agreed life would be boring!

There int a good un among em. There might be some who seem to be men of word but are they fu*k. It just depends on how long until there is something worth turning you over for. Someone I used to know had a few of his trucks knicked by em. walked on site with half a dozen lads with cans of petty chucked it on a few vans AND gobby fellas and flicked clippo on, main man came out calm as fook and said you will have ur vehicles back.....20mins later 5 trucks returned. Today was better from the reds. Actually enjoyed watchin em play. schwienstieger is class. seems slow and ponderous but his touch and vision are unreal. he made a huge difference today. darmian played well on return from injury. Dont forget we lost shaw early days. how much of a difference would he have made as a class left back that would bring goals and assists? Said it before though that the manu of old would be taking players from the "lesser" clubs that are performing in this league, bojan, wijnaldum, lukaku, mahrez, stones, butland(for when they sell degea for 21mill next month). As some of you fellas know I live on the edge of a farming village down a bit of a dirt track. As such we dont get very many people passing our place. I used to love fishing with plugs and spinners, caught and lost some big fish with the method....BUT for some reason now I get bored with it very quickly??? Dont know why, can't put my finger on it. If the weather stays like this I wont be doing any piking this year. Fingers crossed for a freeze and a decent snow fall. For me Piking now is when its freezing cold and fishing lives(if can catch em) or deads amd keep moving. There is no feeling like that when float fishing a deadbait amd the float sat there still suddenly twitches, bobs and slides away. The first thought everytime is....th

Trent mate, bottom end of winthorpe. Its a quality river, got to be the best barbel river in the country. We have had sessions where we have had twenty barbel includig half a dozen doubles in a day session. My best 13lb12oz, lad who I go with has had a 14lb12oz. The thing is its such a big powerful river its totally different fishing to the wye, wensum, swale, great ouse etc. No baitin half a dozen swims inbetween trees with polarised glasses etc and droppin between em, its basically carp fishing on a river.....carbeling as it has been called. I will try and take u up on it.....mrs has a bun in the oven, little lad due in April so its a bit awkward at the min! 30quid for a season ticket including night fishing sounds good to me. Id get mi moneys worth in a long weekend and kip in bivvy or truck happy days. we just had 1 each today, both looked like doubles but we didnt weigh them, like to get them back in as soon as possible.
