    Every lurcher I've had has retrieved off water, hunted coots and moorhens with the same enthusiasm as fur. Best advice I could offer is definitely start them in the summer months, make a game of it and make it enjoyable. Some ten month old gundogs pups with the coat and the breeding for the job have to be entered carefully to water, especially midwinter.

    Two men have gone on trial in Turkey in connection with death of the wee boy washed up on the beach and the deaths of his mother and siblings. Both are facing charges of people smuggling.     Would you invest money in a country that banned you from entering ?. I'd go a step further after listening to that wee cnut salmon who along with the majority of snp mp's thinks he should be banned, I wouldn't invest another penny in Scotland regardless of whether I was banned or not.

    Wood looks warmer and cosier, not so sure it is though. What I am sure of is the fact it can absorb and hold infection and disease for years. It needs to be treated and repaired for its lifetime. If you have a dog that is a chewer it can turn a sturdy wooden kennel or shed into firewood in no time (I've had them). I could be wrong but I don't think you can get a breeding or boarding licence now if you have wooden kennels.
