I don't actually think it will, contrary to what the enthusiasts for indy are saying the general mood would appear to be no. I suppose this time around they could lower the voting age to fourteen and manipulate the emotions of even more naïve youngsters seeing as the sixteen/seventeen year olds didn't quite clinch it last time.

Myself, as a Scot, I quite like the idea of a devolved Scottish government with more control of local and purely Scottish matters but still remain part of the UK. I can't quite grasp the snp's idea of throwing off the shackles of Westminister control and be quite content to be ruled by Europe. It doesn't even make sense, independence to me would be away from Westminister as well as out of the eu. No party that supports mass unchecked, uncontrolled immigration can claim to be the party of the working man, regardless of all their claims. The people most affected negatively and the biggest losers at the end of the day due to the volume of immigrants coming to this country are in fact the genuine working class.

It would seem democracy to some is only acceptable if you're saying and doing what is acceptable to them. Notably leftwing socialist types. Merkel has advised mp's to reconsider. Why?. The people decide, not the fcuking mp's. Sturgeon reckons the vote is not legally binding and Holyrood might be able to veto opting out. 3.1 million people who took part in a democratic vote but didn't like the outcome have signed a petition for another referendum, I'm assuming in the hope that the next time around the outcome suits them. Then of course it will be considered democratic.

I'll be surprised if there is an eu by the time wee Kranky and her pals get one organised. Also, over a million Scots voted to leave, I'm pretty sure a percentage of those voting remain did so as Great Britain, I doubt they relish the thought of being in the eu as a single country. Then there's the folk who want to stay in the union. Folk who don't like the snp, folk who don't want any more disruption. Sturgeon won't be in a hurry to call for a referendum any time soon.
