Stolen Lurcher Any Help Welcomed.
Poacherspocket replied to sher1's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
The guy said he was doing at a house doing a job and pointed at my friends house who i have asked and he wasnt. Theres good gypys out there so dont think im pointi g the finger but why would he follow and ask once hed seen were id gone then turn round and walk off. Why lie? And while im on the sibject the gypsy that my dog came from was going to drowned the litter hence why i got her at 5 weeks. Theres an awful lot that when it comes to dogs are pure evil. That is why im on edge. Plain black and white facts i have every reason to worry. -

Best Collars , Leads And Equipment?
Poacherspocket replied to 'sully''s topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Anyone tried the bio-thane dog collars. I got one for my lurcher its a very supple really strong plastic. They sell them cheap on ebay and would be perfect for anyone with terriers there really hygenic and dont smell or anything. I wouldnt recommend them for the big bull xs though they only come in one width so would be a bit thin maybe. -
Iv no issue paying 150 for a lurcher thats off good stuff and has had the best start in life. Lurchers generally have big litters so all costs will be accounted for and some i guess. If i hadnt got a pup id be top of the list for yours and would definetly pay more for them because i can only guess how well they will be.

Poacherspocket replied to poachers apprentice's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs

Bull Lurcher Questions
Poacherspocket replied to poachers apprentice's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Best rabbit dog iv ever seen was a bull x. Bred from the right stuff that is slightly on the smaller side there amazing and give them half a chance to make a strike they will take it because there prey drive on average is mad compared to a lot of other crosses. There not all 1 trick ponies like a lit think unless your taking about the huge ones that look like ponies tht i personally couldnt even compare to a lurcher. -
No i havnt i generally hunt alone and im very careful what i do and were i do it and only really hunt rabbit. But you only have to go to the shows and listen to dimwit chavs that kill anything in sight it makes my piss boil. I was talking to some lads at a show in summer and the stupid stories they were coming out with i had to walk off the idiots stuck there dog on something at side of an estate and when it got on top they had to leave a dog behind. Thats the sort of nobs im on about and iv never been in a situation like that and i never will be. The worst il ever get is being apprehended wit
-
Pros if your dogs lost or stolen youve a good chance of getting it back. Cons if your one of the nobs who will leave the dogs behind when it gets messy you will be traced. Why is everyone against chipping it seams commen sense to have it in first place.

Very sad news. Feel so sorry for her and her family. Im sure the girl was doing what many little girls dream about riding a horse through the country side.

Collie Grey Bull Grey Or Bull Grey Sal Grey
Poacherspocket replied to D Lloyd's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
The collie bull grey bitch i had put down last year due to injury was a complete and utter nut case. She was proper skittish like a lot of collies can be and combine that with the bull temprement she was deadly. As much as i loved that dog and she worked well for me in the short time i had her it was a blessing in disguse loosing her. Fully stock broken and gairly obediant but petrified of humans to the point she showed serious agression. Never again will i have a collie bull grey might just have been bad luck on my behalf or just a wierd one off dog but its put me off. Got a saluki bull grey -

Im glad i read this post iv just watched urban banx carp fishing programme on youtube and the lad on it took a boat down a harbour near milton keynes somewere and found a tin with allsort of bits in a place litteraly nobody can get to without a boat. It was great they left a back lead in the tin for the next person and signed it i think. Funny how you find something new out and realise how common it might be.

It is something very differant my dad gets all the ramblers in his boozer so could he set something for them to find in there? Be interesting to see if he brings anyone in from it lol
-
To be fair its first time iv heard of it but sad shitty world we live in i wouldnt let my kids go finding things that random people have put down on there own. Someones going to tell me iv got it all wrong now like lol.
-
Sounds like a game for peodos to lure kids to me.

More likely been fetched in by waves of imigrants. Just watched that meet the kahns and one lanlord from sheffield says they have many problems in homes with pests that are fetched in with these foreigners and get out of hand.

By law you can run a cat over but if a dogs in the road you must make an attemp to miss it. Cant see how they dont see the danger in attempting to run it over what if that caused the cop car to swerve off and cause and accident itself.
-
Depends if you can get antibiotics yourself a lot can except i for one cant i end up at vets 9 times out of 10 because im too soft. I never go doctors or anything and just put up with stuff and the dogs are down the vets 24/7 qhenever anything isnt right.
-
Its probably fine to do it unless it somehow goes wrong gets infected then they will point the finger even though the vet would only do same.
-
Probably not everyones cup of tea and its the complete opposite to how i live but id love to give it a go
