  1. If shes off a well worked line and something happens to her before shes tested just get another off that line. If its a well tested line there must be plenty of stuff from it on the ground.
  2. Dont take offence to this please because im really interested but what your saying is you would want to live almost like a traveller except following the law? I wish i could live like a traveller moving around and not have many cares in the world. Is there many people turn to a travveller lifestyle and actually live comfortably?
  3. Worked hard 24/7 now for a few years but now iv got a morgage im working less and out more. Been lucky because im only 23 but its safe to say working as hard as i have done is the easiest way to wnd up in an eatly grave. Get a house as soon as possible and everythinh else will take care of itself i think.
  4. Working shifts great for me nights after then morning. On afters i lamp most nights and good walks in the light before work. Mornings you get a few hours of daylight to have a good mooch but its hard to lamp when your up at 5am so i just have an hour here and there local. Nights is just for walking but good variation.
  5. Its still cheap i had 2 nights and 3 days there. 200 quid is more than enough you cant drink or eat your money thats for certain
  6. Just come back from krakow in january. Brilliant place to take your lass but be warned if you all act like idiots you will get either locked up or worse. I went with 2 mates and im the sensible one who new what was going off. My mates are daft but not trouble causes and we found trouble on a few occasions due to poles that simply didnt want us there. On the last night we went out and found a bar miles away from the square which looked too rough to enter but we did anyway and was the only place we were felt welcome. The bar man gave us welcom shots and a local pole invited us to drink with him

  9. I dont think you will go far rong with the whippet dave slieghts got at stud. Brindle sam its called. Iv seen a few pups that its sired and i like them a lot. Brindle sam was out of boy blue and thats thrown some good dogs too iv owned one and seen many others work. Speak to stud dog on here hes just used it at stud over a nice bull whippet and all the pups are similar and lees getting good reports from all the dogs.
  10. Im pretty certain i may have used this stuff before for the ferrets when i asked are lass to get me some shavings seems good stuff
  11. Hes a very nice guy whoch for some reason iv heard a lot of people slag him yet hes pretty much the only person to put some genuine information out there for lads starting out with lurchers. And anyone that knows him will agree he has bags of time for anyone who wants a little advice and is willing to show people right from wrong. Top bloke really.
  12. Thats for the reply im going to try some of the scented chopped straw stuff gaz mentiond iv got a large animal food supplier close by that has allsorts of stuff im going to have a look later for it.
  13. This winters been shocking weve finally started with some cold weather and its nearly time to pack in. Hopefully this cold kills off a lot of mixy and that ither thing thats going around. Warm wet winters and warm summers just seems to f**k things up all the more.
  14. Just after some opinions on what to use as bedding. Iv got a metal pen with roof with an insulated dog box. The box is really a bit big for 1 dog so im going to seperate it a little to stop the draft but dont know weather to just use carpet for the floor and walls as iv got plenty left over from the house or is there anything else i could use?
  15. Well thats how you feel thats fine but if the rest of the world felt like that there wouldnt be any stock to buy.Its probably better you dont breed really if youre a bit softed hearted mate. Not being funny or knocking you but to breed good stock you have to be able to harden your heart. If people in history hadnt been like that you simply wouldnt have the breeds that go into making the lurchers you have in your kennel now.. That is a fair point and i understand it when its genuine lads breeding and working but theres that many prats about it winds me up. Rant over anyway im off out with the do
  16. Yes that is exactly what i mean however under some circumstances i could understand someone gifting a dog to someone else who maybe they knew or whatever but advertising a swap on an open forum like this i wouldnt dream of. Il be honest tomorow im taking a dog off a mate but i know the lad in question is only parting because he knows me very well and knows iv never once parted company with a dog no matter how shit they are.
  17. Thanks to everyone else for the advice suppose where ever i got it from wasnt too far out if you cant breed silver to silver probably me who misheard. Iv never purposley bred anything so i wouldnt know.
  18. Whos told ya that shit the fecking idiots jesus christ man i think people want to start doing whats right instead of listening to shit man.you put your together mate if they are working ok mate and start ya own dont listern to crap like that but if you want a small ferret im putting my albino hob to my 2 small polecat jill as i dont have any albino jills.i will be keeping small hob or jill backbut if you want one there will be one here for ya mate. Thanks i appreciate it where abouts are you? Have you kept this line of ferrets for a while or are they unrelated bloodline wise?
  19. I might be wrong but iv always been told you cant breed albino to albino or it could cause birth defects same as it would brither to sister. If someone says otherwise though there probably right i cant even remember who told me that.
  20. Currently i have 2 hobs a small albino and a huge wierd looking hob whos about 8 now i was wondering if anyone on here keeps a small proven line of ferrets. Im after a poley type jill the reason being i cant ever breed albino to albino thats all and i do like them that way. Im not after one to breed from its just its taken me that long to find a decent ferret if i aquire a decent jill i know were i stand with my hob and can breed for myself then. Hope someone can help cheers.
  21. Id love to breed a litter of pups one day for myself but i never will because im sick of reading shit like this. No wonder theres so many lurchers in the pound getting passed around and all the rest because nobody can be bothered to put time into a pup. Mods should delete anything with the word swap when it comes to dogs.
  22. These dogs really do look good. In the future i will really be considering this cross even the first cross looks quick enough but the feet on all the fogs posted look spot really solid boned too. Be good to see a regular update on these pups as its the first real post iv seen on this cross which makes a change to peopel asking about this cross and the next. Hope the pups do well.
  23. Id have never guessed shes a greyhound like you say shes solid boned and a lot more robust than you average greyhound. Very nice dog anyway hope she keeps you happy.
