  1. Thanks going to try them now. Hope i find something decent because i cant even look at anything else now iv got my heart set on this l200.
  2. Well annoyed is an understatement. When i said a i was qouted 1k it was actually for a ford ranger. Now i changed it to an l200 there wanting 1500 quid. Not paying that ever so back searching for a new dog bus. Probably end up in a van at this rate.
  3. Performance direct over 5k. Think i might have already got decent insurance.
  4. I know when iv been looking at car insurance sticking anybody who works for nhs on as a named driver n its considerably cheaper. Shit how it work il never get my head round it. Cheers.
  5. Just wondering is there anyone on here can advise me on a cheap insurance company for pickups. Im only 22 but been qoated 1000 which is still a bit expensive i think. That was on a price comparison site. Can anyone point me in the direction of a firm thats cheap which isnt on those sites. Didnt even realise you had to have special insurance for one as there a commercial vehicle. Thanks in advance.
  6. Is that the guy on the telly who ficed that lirchers broken neck? He was good but i wouldnt like to think how much he charges
  7. That wasnt a go by the way just trying to put peoples thoughts rigjt because iv posted before about her and people read too much into stuff. Sorry to hear about your dog never easy losing one they just dont live long enough.
  8. Hope nobody reads too much onto what i put to pick me apart. When i said screaming il give you an example. If your dog breaks its leg it will scream so you take it to the vets and get it fixed. My dog had a bad back so she was aching when she was laid down so shed have to stand back up and have a hobble round and it was when she stands up and lays down she screamed out. So i had her in emergancy vets to see her right.
  9. If money isnt an issue id 100% get a variable beem tracer lamp. Iv known a few lads regret not getting variable power and sell there lamp to get one. You need the distance in the beam incase your dog runs out of sight of a smaller lamp. But the vatiable beam will help you get more squatters because you can turn the power down untill the dog is slipped then crank it up. Plus if your poaching you can keep the beam low if you need to get iver obstickes or whatever so you dont illuminate everything. Basically you get best of the cluelites low powered beam and the huge ranger of a tracer.
  10. That dog looks fantastic im sure the freezer will be full in no time.
  11. Rather than hijacking the similar thread i thought id mention my recent experiance. Last summer my bull x meg suddenly got ill. I got her to vets and they diagnosed a back injury and hit me with the first bill for all her medications and other treatments. I was litteraly in the process of looking for insurance as this happened. Anyway it was too late and i had to bite the bullet and put the dog right out my own pocket. I followed the vets instructions to a tea and for the last year shes progressively got worse. Anyway this last week she took a turn for the worst. I got her straight back yo the
  12. Im from penistone and never heard of anything bred that way. Not the first time penistones been mentioned on here recently. Its a shame there isnt many about. Do you know who the chap was?
  13. Thinking about it i dont think there is a right amount it depends on the individuals. Only point i was making was that by charging nearly half there income they will never be able to move on unless renting. Depends what people priorities in life are.
  14. I take it you still live with your parents then ........Lol i knew that was coming. I was taking piss righting that. Iv just bought a house and awaiting keys. Which at 22 is very difficult iv saved every penny for the deposit myself with no help. In all fairness only problem with high board means it will be hard to save for a deposit to move out unless your happy renting. When i have kids of my own il charge board but put it all to one side to build a deposit up for them a house. Im a sensible lad and iv struggled saving most kids these days need a bit of help.
  15. Id say a bit steep when him n a mate could probably rent a flat for not much more depending what area you live and he can party n do whatever the hell he likes then lol
  16. I was thinking the same thing with my bull x bitch. She hates company in my opinion but since shes got injured shes a completely differant dog. Shes gone from not even looking at me and going out my way in the house to sat on my knee every chance she gets.there all wierd in their own ways.
  17. Theres me n the bird going from barnsley. Weve tried blagging a lift but cant find one. I was hoping there was a secret cheap car park somewhere but probably not lol
  18. So pay over 50 quid each on train. Dont think so.
  19. Im off amsterdam tomorow from newcastle does anyone know of where the best place to leave my car for a couple of days?
  20. My collie kelpie x lurcher had one blue eye as a pup and as hes got older its shrunk to a spec of blue in the bottom of his eye and the rest is now brown. When he gets wound up or excited even day time with no lamp his eye shines back red its so wierd but when lamping it always shines back red
  21. Last year i was in middle of knowhere it was freezing cold and i was with one of the lads when we heard some voices and as we walked round the corner we were greated by some lad in just a t shirt sweating h8s bollox off and tripping. For a second we thought we were going to get some bother and all after him spouting a load of shit we didnt understand he run off. Scary at the time cos you dont know what people like that carry or could do when there off their head.
  22. The biggest problem iv had getting permission is being from barnsley. Must be some right idiots round my end cos every farmer in north yorkshire has hd a run in with someone from barnsley. Iv had to learn to lie and say a little village near sheffield and its worked
  23. had a similar situation to that only it was the neck, costly to pin point thank god it turned out to be the nerve was ok after a short time. Best of luck with the dog your doing the best, you see some on here not taking their dogs to vets when it's really needed, never ends good. Good luck! Cheers bud. Shes cost me hundreds up to now.
  24. My dog bust her back lst summer. Iv been to the bone man he said definate fractured vertebre but the vet reckons he may be correct but more likely a traped nerve due to her having loads of spasms and shes fine one day and f****d the next. On tuesday the vets putting her under light anesthetic and going to manipulate her. Its my last option really so worth a try.
