  1. Hi CP, Bit of a situation for you. I see you are in Central Scotland and most farms in Scotland have Rabbits, lots of rabbits ! Trouble is the farmer might be glad of the ferret man now ? A partnership situation is probably the best route like Big Mac and Vis have. good luck
  2. So's this and about 800 quid cheaper. Think you might be over doing it if your bashing rats mate. Screen Shot 2015-10-16 at 15.13.18.png Your not getting a 100 for rats are you? Please tell me your using it for other game too... You buy what you like with that well earned pension Phil . Rez is jealous as he shoots more with Mac`s catty than he does with his guns , atb
  3. Its not the rifle its you its not your fault you cant shoot 22 the best cal out there :tongue2: Yes you may well be right Mac but either way the HW 100 kt .177 "Shits" over all other rifles i have ever owned, be it accuracy or the flawless magazine the 100`s have both in abundance. There is no mistaking though, .177 is defo my preferred calibre these days, wether i use springer (T Rex 200 hc mk3) or my Lethal HW 100 kt . Please try your new Raider in .177 before you commit your money Mac, the rifle obviously suits you well, so might the "fast an
  4. Sorry guys, i had the Brocock Concept super six but the description stands. Very good rifles indeed but i would save some more Phil and get the HW 100 kt (.177) . Once you`ve owned a Ferrari you would not want a Ford again. atb
  5. Before i joined THL mate, had it one day and my gunsmith mate, Steve allowed me to return it at no charge and i bought the HW 100 ks from him. Both were in .22 cal and neither achieved what i was looking for. Had i bought them in .177 cal then yes they would easily have achieved my expectations . atb.
  6. Hello Phil, welcome. Ditto to Rez, he is correct. I bought the Brocock concept (super six) and soon found out that as accurate as this rifle is,- it is only worth 28 truly accurate shots. I took it to my ranges, watched Si Pitterways reviews and Si was bang on,- fill above 180 bar the Brocock is erratic, once she is at 180 bar pressure she is "perfect" for 28 shots only ! After that she will slowly become erratic again. . Don`t get me wrong Phil, if you fill the Brocock to 180 bar only and shoot from there on in, then boy is
  7. I wish Mitch. Yep Jonnie christmas bills are looming and work usually gets less.
  8. Moxy - you spelled tongue wrong, - Rez made me tell you PaulK - Vermin Hunters TV - great site (on facebook)
  9. Report - Mark Williams finished all roof work for Mrs Culshaw today at approx` 1-40 pm. Mrs Culshaw was very happy with the quality of work and proceeded with the world famous saying - "Oh while your here mark, could you just -" Soooo it became can you just do this, can you just do that, what do you think about this, what about that ? She`s a lovely O.A.P and spoiled me and my son with tea and toast so we did her little jobs for her and finished at 5pm instead, - ah well. I wanted to go shooting Jonnie but we dont turn extra wages do
  10. Yep Mac "finally" shot a rabbit of his own even though it was riddled with mixy, senile and glowed in the dark from his nuclear plant permission.
  11. That`s a great point Random and may well be right. We`ve had no rain since about Friday (i think) and noticed pigeons flocking to the large puddles to drink, not the usual flat banks on parts of the brooks. Steve and his brother Mick sprayed the fields to kill the growth ready for ploughing and drilling early last week and i "presumed" this spray was putting the pigeons off the brook water. After all that i didn`t get to go through work commitments
  12. ET to twats 1, 2,3.4.5.6.7.8.9 and infinitem are you lot missing me or summert ? Didn`t get to go did i, held up with extras at work but not complaining as i need the wages . So i`m postponed i think - for now and that`s my crow fecked for re-use.
  13. oops fieldcraft - red wine again In a months time those shoots of mine will have completely changed,- who will know all about those changes and shoot accordingly, "me" . Pair of twats !
  14. Top left field by the nuclear power station stinks the worst , you know Mac, where all the three eared rabbits get shot. The adjoining field, where nothing grows, is where the "glow in the dark" rabbits come from, the ones that don`t need night vision too see . The "petrified woods" is where i shot one of those squirrels with two heads, they are every where Mac, you need to "get on top of them". atb
  15. to Walshie, and also to Sniper, seasons and tactics are changing a lot by hunters this time of year the site is still very busy sniper. atb lads.
  16. Weatherman says decent weather for tomorrow so i will set up for the 4-17 pm pigeon flight on those large puddles. We "should finish" working on the roofs for 1pm "ish"(jobs finished at last !) so i get time to set up properly and i will take my mate`s ghillie suit,my shooting sticks and HW 100 kt .177 using Air Arms Fields 8.4 grain diablo`s set to "strike a match at 32 yds" . See how we get on
  17. Out with my G.S.P gun dog this late afternoon and noticed the puddles in the fields being visited heavily by birds but not the brooks. So i made my way over to a very slow running brook and the banks were without footprints ? Anyways i took a seat on some logs and watched from good distance, pigeons flighting in at 4-17pm and drinking from large puddles by the farm tracks and thought, this is the place to set an ambush late afternoon with cradle decoys, (dead pigeons on wire support cradles). Now then the brooks, i noticed, are fed by land drainage pipes and the fie
  18. Cogs, hi mate. Light or heavy ? Well delivery is the most important part, or should i say accuracy. A great post was put up recently with regards to the .177 pellet retaining it`s energy in lightweight compared to the heavy weight version by VM. He will be along soon, i`m sure.
  19. Oops ! how did i not mention the BSA Ultra - they are superb. atb (all the best)
