  3. try advanced netting to there not to bad 200yard means a hundred yard set if you half it for kill ,my friend harrkes trawls has a lot of stuff two that would do the ferreter or long netter , i think i paid roughly 50 pound including postage for my sheet netting 18 mesh deep , double selvedge ,made two fifty yarders but you could still get away with less slack as they were high , and catch rabbits easy , you would be surprised what commercail fishing sites have that can do for hunting guys , sheet netting etc ,any way no more info for today , next one will be making all plastic quick

  5. the reason there so many rescue homes nobody culls there ferrets when there no good they pass there shite on , not all ferrets make the grade same with dogs ,if you work them hard and have accses to land big areas you, soon find out whats working or not ,

  7. caught a few over the years some by hand some by dog , not many, caut one against a rabbit fence dog ,just happend to be there at right time , retreived it ,i let it go was unharmed ,,some areas they clap and if you had a fly net get them easy but best left alone they have a hard journey, saw lots in suffolk along ditches next to copses when out coursing back in ninties , saw several in a morning probaly still there as the land hasnt changed that much

  13. we dont have grey wolves or wild dogs we have ,working dogs i feed them at nite if there lamping they get fed when they come home , i dont need to travel far so no need for feed in morning , i take clean water with me , and a treat if i think we are in for a long haul ,all dogs are diffrent mines are mostly saluki greyhound type and collie grew type bred from years of workers so pretty hardy , most important thing in this harsh weather up north plenty good dry bedding , and good fatty meat like chicken carcase , tripe , beef and fat from abattoir ,pasta , some dried food , after A HARD

  21. first lurcher i had ,was bred that way spey then we bred jess top class bitch on hare and pheasants , probaly as good as it got back then ,should had bred of her but alas never , to young and there wasnt much about to breed with her then the black country sting came hancock then a lot of these old lines died out with the lies etc

  23. you do get the odd hole dropping but the dogs or dog pressurise a lot of rabbits in net , im into quick killing if possible and on to the next one i do use the purse nets for smaller warrens or just let the dogs peg them as they bolt, some of these big setts dont hold enough rabbs to net every one with a purse net , teircel who mentioned there wasnt hole dropping as you called it , its about time and motion with me get it done and move on ,and if they hole drop there for the next time not end of the world.
