  1. youle always get that were there high unemployment and lack of goverment funding , most of there places were miniing areas and if you had a not so brite son he could go down pit , or some other lauboring job ,now there not as many manual jobs for them ,so you end up with generaitions of people who are a bit loopy ,and generaitons who have not worked thatcher started it back in seventies mines shut down steel works etc and blair opend the gates for foreigners banned hunting etc coursing national service would sort them out a bit ,never been on face book never will,alot of these guys take

  5. best way mate and im being seurous dont listen to drivle on here, go to someone that makes nets like mick dadd or if you were up here in scotland teach you in an hour or two , i would say a day helping a ,man and learning how to do its a day worth well spending , forget about all the nails and boards do it properly , learn with needle and spacer then when you get handy you can gauge the mesh and tallyho do it free hand like fishermen do on boats harbours for a living ,

  7. forget about lamping better in daylite so you can see what the dogs up to , never lamp to sort a problem always in daylite , first, see what the problem is and then use an expierenced eye ,not boasting but i never won top obeiednce and grafted lurchers hard ,coursing allsorts of game to a high standard because im a duck egg, an hour and i would sort it out or piont it out and come up with solution or not , some are not clever to learn other gain knowledge through there peers ,i learnt of top greyhound men lurcher men and feildtrail spaneils etc , knowledge you cant get of a poxy comp ,

  10. some of my dogs take there food bowl in the bed to ,so every nite i watch them feed and take them of it , as the get posesive over a silly bowl , she thinks rabbits are food like the bowl , lack of game never had dogs burry because of lack of game , more heredity , get her fetching again properly , dead rabbits on string and then live ones in a controled manner , youlle rectifie it ,if not then at least you tried ,ha ddogs fetching good then sicken mostly alot of saluk in them , the collie typei have neverr sickend even when there knacked , hope you solve your problem

  14. had collie greyhound whippet greyhound type line bred got one left she is just under 24 wouldnt have any smaller realy ,23 upwards, ive found, and for larger feilds biggger qaurry bigger 25 26 27 , not a lover of small dogs unless terrier or spaneil , running dogs should be able to cacth on any land and have the height size to cope with the land ,as for picking runs and all that stuff were i hunt you run whatever as there not piles of stuff to pick your runs , get a dog that suits your land ,and kills were ever hope you find one
  15. ye thats for sure ,but the white hare was caut by a lad in larkhall i questioned it then had a good look at pics it was a white brown hare ,caut a pure ginger rabbit last week beutiful looking thing kept the skin and the mask , saw three in 30 years plus of hunting ,marked like that the first one was near aberlady nature reserve in 19 83 thought it was hare but was a ginger rabbit , saw one three months ago missed it then caught this one last week a mile from the area i saw it maybe same one

  17. there was a man from larkhall who did catch a white hare with dogs white like the snow and it wasnt a mountain hare ,saw pics of him and dogs with it queer looking thing pure white with a dark eye like a normal hare i think a while back

  25. saw enough of plodders ,fast dogs , meduim dogs you need pace on general fields 50 to a hundred acres been proven time and time again and if bred right no how to use there gears , i was brought up in good running land were a hare would stretch a meduim paced dog , you need pace to get there then bend him then try and work the hare , then snap him up , i like going out at nite as well as day without pace wouldnt get half as much gear or exiting chases ,when you see some of these big furry dogs you wonder if they can catch a good strong winter hare ,or ones with big wide fronts its a hare we
