You can't criticise him for doing something that you are doing yourself - why is it OK for you to smoke, but not him ? Pack it in together ! It's an expensive, filthy habit that will shorten ALL your lives ! Knock it on the head before he can afford to buy them for himself......

In our old parish magazine once, they had a story about a lady who had reached 101. There was a photo of her with a rather distinguished looking gent, and underneath, the caption said "Doris is pictured with her dancing partner, Arthur, who is a spritely 96".......!!

Uk Drone Strikes Subject To Legal Challenge By Greens

Presumably, we should have asked them over for a non-confrontational discussion, on a mutual interface and feedback basis, so we can find some common ground, and find a solution that satisfies both of our agendas, while meeting sustainable futures for all ? Lentil curry and soya milk provided..............man ! These F***ing ar5eholes boil my blood ! They obviously haven't grasped the concept that suicide bombers and rampaging gunmen murder indiscriminately - men, women, children,Christian, Muslim, vegan - they don't care ! Do they imagine that a suicide bomber will enter, say -

Had a quick scan and didn't see it wonder how many will vote for Labour now? All of Bill Oddie's lot for a start. And anyone with an unusually pasty complexion and a dislike for meat. ......with blue hair and a love of multicoloured Transit vans !

Problem with that is that none of them carry any documentation. They don't claim asylum, because to do so, you have to provide your name, country of origin etc. If you are refused, then you're removed to your country of origin. In a nutshell, if the authorities don't know where you come from, they can't send you back there........

I'd have to agree with you, DB - at least Saddam and Gaddafi kept a lid on their countries tensions.......and the West was happy enough to cosy up to them, when it suited.

......and those 44,000 will have their claims properly and legally assessed !

Afghans have a relatively stable government, still given massive backing by the West. I've read many accounts that say Eritreans flee the country to avoid compulsory military service. ( Though I'd probably have to agree that Eritrea is probably the mother of all 5hit-holes !) There is no war in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Albania, Kosovo or Nigeria..... Most of the so-called refugees seem to be 'fighting-age' men, whose energies might be better spent by staying with their families and fighting for their countries' futures......

During April, May and June of this year, Eurostat (the EU's official statisticians) counted 213,000 asylum claims - just 44,000 were from Syrians. Migrants have been found from Nigeria, Pakistan and Bangladesh, among others, so they are NOT refugees, they are economic migrants, attempting to enter Europe illegally - 17,700 claims were made by people later found to be Albanian ! What we actually have is a relatively small refugee problem, made much, much worse by a flood of bandwagon-jumpers...... (PS - I am myopic (near-sighted), but I think the only half-wits are those who believe t

The Prime Minister Of Britain Stuck His Pecker In A Pig
Blackbriar replied to BGD's topic in General Talk
Flogging a dead horse there, mate ! -
If you are referring to Corbyn. He stood in respectful silence. He attended to honour the dead. Why else would he be there? He chose not to sing the anthem because he does not respect the monarchy. He was being honest. Fair play to him. He intended no disrespect to the dead. Far from it. He's a disrespectful slob at best and a traitor at worst. There was nothing respectful about his silence. He should hang his head in shame. I'm going with 'traitor' ! Shooting is too good for him.......

And I've spotted a good few who definitely AREN'T from Syria - definite look of East Africa about them ! My guess is that most of those trying to cross from Serbia and Croatia are Serbians and Croatians, maybe a good few Romanians mingled in. News reports have interviewed people from Pakistan (obviously an unreported civil war !) and Turkey (tourist season is a bit slow this year). Travellers have also been found to be from Bangladesh and Nigeria. During April, May and June of this year, the EU logged 213,000 arrivals - just 44,000 of them from Syria. The same figures (compiled by Eurostat, t
