I can watch a decent 20/20 or ODI, can't do the tests in long spells. Mate of mine goes to the odd test match now and again, from what he says it's a bloody good laugh.
  2. I'm not comfortable with the level of Chinese government involvement in something like a nuclear power station..
  3. £104 a year now mate, they've doubled the cost to £2 a shot now! Plus they've added another 10 balls to the mix and made the odds even longer..
  4. They won't be happy until it's NI mk2 up there some of them mate.
  5. I'd bet these other "Scotland sized countries" Joe says are doing well do a lot of things differently than we do here.. The standard of living will not be the same..
  6. You have done your level best to swerve this question loads of times mate, you know and I know and everybody knows that countries in the EU are governed in the best interests of the EU......so........I will ask yet again, what is the logic in gaining independance in order to give it away again? Is there any logic in doing that, yes or no? yes, scotland economy would be run in the interest of scotland, in the long run, it can only be better than the status quo.. no billions paid towards high speed rail that the country will never see, house of lords, trident etc etc the money the
  7. You're still a bloody tourist.. In 20 years and you can call yourself a 'resident,' and in 100 years time any descendants you might leave in the area can start to think about calling themselves 'local' within the next few generations! When we moved down here 24 years ago I asked an old boy in the pub how long it would be before we were accepted as locals? His answer was, "We'll give it four generations boy, then we'll have a look" Cheers, D. Yeah that's pretty much the standard way of things mate!

  9. You'll find that all over in the tourist hotspots mate, it's exactly the same in my area. It's good for those in the tourist trade but it's a pain in the arse for everyone else. Nicest times of the year are before the swarms turn up and after they bugger off home again!
  10. No way I'm I suggesting that Scotland is a bunch of spastics who can't do things, history has shown that's not the case.....but that ugly bitch Sturgeon claims she wants independence but then wants to sell you down the river by joining the EU whereby you will no longer have independence.......that's the bit I'm not getting?WJK has also said there would need to be a massive wave of immigration to Scotland to make their plans work, so there is clearly a skill shortage..

To the best of my knowledge it was the tribes of Britons, who were the descendants of the original settlers of the UK from the last ice age. I think they are Celts but I'm not sure? The first Celts were from the Iberian Peninsular and the first to come here after the last ice age.. That's why I reckon they've left it out, they couldn't write an article about 'native British' being mostly from some area in England if they included the group that arrived on these islands long before the group they're calling the original Britons.. The Angles and the Saxons were from Germany and came here a cons
  14. That's the stuff matey! There's been a few threads in your absence where me and Born Hunter have wordered what your input would be! Have one on me!

  17. I like that mate, bet it smells incredible there!
  18. How would that cut costs mate??Because they only have to design and build one changing area instead of two and can cut down on fixtures and fittings like showers etc. Also it's probably cheaper to provide heat, light etc in the long run.
  19. It's more of a cost cutting exercise than a political one.. Jeez guys, are you lot ever out of your tin foil hats?
  20. How'd you like your new member title Max?

What about smoking it and doing stuff while high? If you're smoking it hard enough to make you horizontal you're abusing it..

seriously though.. that opening the third eye is one of the reasons its been banned historically, somewhere ive got an old phsychadelic Timothy Leary speech set to Jimi Hendrix playing away and he bangs on about the u.s. government having big problems with the war in Vietnam as the soldiers didnt want to fight coz they was smokin da weed. Main reason it's banned is nothing to do with the effects you get by consuming it. The very rich and powerful cotton industry in America back in the early 1900's was to blame. Its because hemp can do so much more than cotton, so they lobbied the US governme
  23. No point.. Joe'll only start spamming the general section with multiple threads.. Better to give him his outlet here in one place.. If lads want to try wasting time by trying to debate with him and changing his mind they're welcome to crack on..
