  1. Well I'm glad I got to read a thread about trees on here, the one I missed seems to have passed into legend..
  2. Nice one lads, looked like good craic again! Nice little message off Jim while he was on his travels, was going to pop by.. Until he realised he'd already passed me by on his way home!
  3. Hiding behind the sofa with my mum and brothers from the rent/shopacheck/TV rental/TV licence/debt collector man!
  4. Anybody else remember milk being delivered in square plastic bags for a while?
  5. Loving this thread, so many memories!
  6. Going to be another competitive season I reckon, winner and top 4 teams could be any of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester city, Spurs, Liverpool and Leicester I reckon. Going to be even tougher to nail down the bottom 3 imo.
  7. Powerhouse that lad. Strange to see a swimmer with such a powerful physique! Apparently he can do a press-up so explosively that he can upright himself! I'm going to have to watch that video because that sounds impressive. Anyway, the lad is a credit to the country and sport. Proper old school mentality of "Queen and country", absolutely certain of his own success. Incredible! when you look at most swimmers , they all have good physics , broad shoulders with a wedge shape bodies , think its near as much in the pool as the gym lifting weights, but not over the top, or they get to he
  8. Thread pinned for the duration..
  9. Fed mine plenty of themy when I had them, good to feed a wide variety I reckon..
  10. Spot on.. I was brought up around 'house dogs' and the first thing I said to my kids when we got a puppy for the first time was that if they ever antagonised the dog to the point where it turned on them the dog would have to be destroyed through no fault of its own and it would be their fault. I also told them that any dog has the potential to bite if disrespected so the onus was on them to act accordingly around them.
  11. You mean their lowest ever league position since the last time they got relegated Max?
  12. I don't think you can conclusively come down on either side or the nature or nurture debate with regards to this. We are all somewhere along the spectrum of human behaviour. You might find a majority of these killers grouped somewhere in the same patch of it but theye won't be alone in that group. Most people in the same place as them won't end up being monster's.
  13. I was sat round a washing machine drum in a field a few weeks back, they work bloody well as a fire pit. I reckon it wouldn't take much to make it look a bit more Homes and Gardens to suit your 'dapper city bloke retired to the country to live amongst the yokels' look Dai!

    Magpies

They roost together as well apparently..
  15. Human Planet was a great series, amazing how the human being as an animal can adapt to live in so many different extremes.. You can't go wrong with the David Attenborough series' they're all good IMO. Watched a decent one about the bronze age site that has been dubbed "Britain's Pompeii" last night, presented by Alice Roberts on one of the BBC channels. It should be on iPlayer, totally recommend it.
  16. Those boys who run the white water trips out of Milford really know their stuff. That's a hell of a fish!
  17. Bullshit.. any proper nuclear scientist would have included the stroganoffium 1997 fractal equation in that analysis..
  18. So to sum up; It could have made a f***ing big bang??
  19. I believe A thermonuclear bomb is usually a fission boosted fusion device which requires a fisson reaction fuse to compress the fuel and initiate a fusion reaction in the main part of the device.. They're pretty complicated to set off. Maybe we're getting pedantic about things though, it could still maybe make a 'f***ing big bang' if it all went tits up?
  20. I was caught, in the middle of a railroad track..
