  1. I have a whistle & a buttolo & both have there usess but the buttolo is more known but hard to work well.
  2. You have to re-size every case either full length or a neck size. With full length you get less brass life say 10-15 times through & need lub & i advise you trim/chamfer & pocket primmer clean every time. Neck sizing as said only dose the neck & no need for lub & cases last 10 times longer but this method of sizing is more for target/benchrest. You need to size every case as the case mouth expands when fired & needs to be taken back 0.001" smaller than the bullet. the expander pin in your die will do this job so dont get anal over it & you should get better accuracy
  3. great wee vid there nice to see he looked a good strong young buck too what he weigh in lb's?.
  4. Get it screw cut & get a thread protector or an invisable one can be made if you are that fussy.
  5. Nice 1 Dave did you get any muntie home? Did you have fun i bet the cover is med down there. Cant wait to get on my feet up here then have a go at the munties myself.
  6. I got a roe sack made up here for £40 with a linner & £7 for spare linner. Its more like a sika sack as i can get 2-3 roe in it but 1 good 40lb roe enough. A roe sack is a great bit of kit to any body doing stalking to carry equipment.

  10. I homeload & use various powders from Vit N140/BL-C2 & Varget with speer or sierra 55g sp. I have used factory fed 55g sp & they were good & if you shoot any amount of deer you will get the odd damage.
  11. Hello there is so many factors for a rifle not grouping & the biggest is the twit behind the trigger but the 243 is an exelent cal but i cant stand 270. I would go for the 243/6.5x55 over the 270 the 243 (6mm) is a great accurate round with some great bullet choice if you load it as is 6.5.
  12. Cheers all & it wasent his 1st buck he shot 3 cull with me last year & could be more if he would stop getting fever. This was his 1st good mature buck & yes the cups of tea at the larder were good. Not sure on age i thought 5-6 But he was a bugger to skin & a sold neck on him the head is in the freezer.
  13. I have a rookery on me & have had 2-3 go's at them & had 128 so far but here is a pic of 40+ when i took the camera.
  14. Well done FD another nice mature lad.
  15. A buck i have seen & the one i took the wee video of was in a wee corner when out with my mate a week ago. I looked at him for 10min & that he wasent as good as i though so let my mate get his first good buck & i think it will go bronze. He was at 140m & my mate had buck fever & we ended up shooting him at 25m as he walked up into us. .

  20. Went out for a look as i havent been out much due to a bad chest infection but seen a few bucks going about. Had a nice sun rise & found a real cracking buck i recon to be a bronze/silver medal. A poor pic of buck but you can see the tops of the antlers & size if you know roe bucks. A wee vid of same lad.
  21. Hello & nice but i made the same mistake of pinning them & i found that you are better getting a very thick/heavy rubber band from horse store place thus you can slide it up/down for your height. I found myself sitting down-kneeling & the sticks were no use that splayed out.
  22. Hello i have a pair & could never go back to a range finder in my pocket & bins round my neck. Ok they slightly heavyer than some others but not bad really. Mine are the 8x42 in metres & i have used them on a hill all day infact my mate is a head-keeper on 30thou hill & after seeing mine got 10x42 geovids. They are great to work & optically unbaleavable even in low light & within a second i can glass view & range an object in. I see Zeiss is doing range-finding binos but know nowt on them. They are expensive but its the best £1050 i ever spent & they work on fo
