  3. just also to add... the lubing of the inside of the case neck will, lead to inconsistant burn rates of the powder.... Also the neck tension of the bullets will all be different...... due to the lube and this will cause accuracy problems too.... never lube the inside of the neck..... ATB.

  7. Alright mate.. a few lads i know local use the .17 rem, and seem to have never ending trouble, the wind plays havoc with the POI in most instances, and if its any way breezy has to be taken into account.... the other gripe with it is that it has to be kept free of fouling, poi will shift around the place, and its really showed with the lads success at the foxing lately....... but horses for courses, and if you want the .17 rem its your choice, but i wouldn't have one.... the .204 is an excellent calibre, some rifles have had issues, but it is neverless a very
  8. Personally i'd go for the leupold, the warrenty is excellent, and the scope solid, personally i think better glass than the burris too, However if you tend to zero for 100 yards the other lines on the boone and crocket reticule will be of little use, and may well be even with your zero of 200 yards... i'd go for a duplex reticle, and then when you have a few quid to spare get turrets made to suit the round your firing, eg. chronograph your bullets, and then get the custom turrets made to suit this bullets drop... takes all the guesswork outta it... and is handy... chec
  9. Always go be the instructions given mate.... my A-tec is to be cleaned every 200 rounds but my gunny told me 100 and grease the threads..... Snap.
  10. alright mate..... when you say the guns a hmr....... IS the gun given a good cleaning routine....? Is the barrel ever de-coppered.. with a good copper removing agent....? if this has not been done then the rifle will also throw shots all over the place... just another idea to check, if all else is ok. Snap.

  16. Beaphar Ivermectin Spot On For the treatment of mites, lice and roundworms only in ferrets, rabbits, guinea-pigs and rats. Ivermectin is not an effective treatment against fleas. Until recently effective treatments for many common conditions could only be obtained on prescription from a vet. The European Union has now introduced the Small Animal Exemption Scheme for qualifying veterinary drugs so that they can now be made available over the counter. Ivermectin is one such drug. Each pack of Beaphar Ivermectin Spot On contains 4 pipettes of ivermectin (150ug per pipette). T
  17. alright mate, i've bought the tikka m595 i have second hand... its shot 1/2" groups for ages.... BUT i did know the round count, and shot with the rifle a good few times.... So i knew the performance i was getting before i bought.... i still have it all be it in fancier clothes....hehe so the answer your question this is what i would look for...... A good clean well looked after rifle... accurate round count... was it used in shooting targets or hunting only or both....!!! Why this question, because if it was used mainly on targets barrel wear would be
  18. Definately is a good tip. I've sent it back today to be either repaired or replaced I don't care which, the bonus is the shop I deal with who've sent it back have given me a scope on loan until mine comes back...... which was nice Just zeroed it ready for tonight so hopefully we're still cooking on gas. ATB Kie Oh, cheers for the replies people Thats a bloody quality service, you won't find many dealers like that... good stuff..... Snap.
  19. god forbid, if the supermarkets had to close overnight, how many do gooders, do you think woyld starve..? todays modern why of life is far removed from what it was 30 or 40 years ago... the countryside way of life is one that many people just don't seem to fathom in the modern era..... the get the chicken in wrapping.... ham pre sliced...... gone are the days when they would have to kill their own livestock for food... its a shame that their vaules changed, and skills also as the modern way of life does its daily grind... don't worry about the do gooders, or tre
  20. A good result for her and all hunters indeed.... ATB Snap.
  21. kay the product which you are showing only says it contains ivermectin, its the main active ingreident within the dose, which is for treating, Worms, lice, and mites, you will most probably see on closer inspection, either of the following, deltamethrin, or chypermethrin, this will be the active ingreident to combat fleas.... or a similar ingreidant of which there are a few to many to name.... i hope this helps..... Snap.
  22. One of my pointers lost loads of hair tried everything. A mate got me some gave him 10 ML and a week later gave him another 10 ML it kills all parasites. He looks great now but i would at least half the dose for a terrier 10ml, i'm sorry mate but thats enough to worm a 500 kg cow.....!!!!! your lucky your dogs internals aren't damaged..... or infact that you have a dog at all.... ivomec will not do fleas...... please don't take this the wrong way but if you overdose, you may find your dog dead some morning .... just a word of warning...... Snap.
  23. there have aparently been alot of muntjac released around the wicklow areas and a few other places.... due to the nature that coilte planted the conifer forrests, they are hard to see as they are ideal to move within the confinments of these forrests... they browse on the young trees at the edge of the forrests, and seek safety inside.. they are aparently breeding at an alarming rate so they have open season for them all year round, Snap.
