  1. It's not the fact that someone may buy it.... it was then shipped from the dealer as faulty to GMK, who did'nt want to know about it, but the dealer buys loads of them, and said he'd ship the lot back {All guns}, as my mate buys guns of him regular.... ATB with it.... Snap.
  2. It's really as simple as typing it into the google bar.......!!! http://www.zazzle.co.uk/greyhound+ties hope you like these........ Snap.

I remember a while back about reading a recall in the tikka ,sako barrel's And serached the net there now...... seems that T3 Stainless rifles with serial numbers starting with 419140 and going to 461951 Are all on recall, however import companies are saying that they are fine, the steel used in the batches was of sub standard.. hope this helps you out...... My mate has bought sako all his life, and his recent purchase of a .204 sako 85 really disapointed him..... simply wouldn't group..... he traded it in with the dealer, ATB. Snap.

Lifting images of the "snappers" website with a camera phone would be illegal. I think you will find that "the snapper" (god I hate that term ) is more than happy to provide thumbnails for a previesw....but is currently busy earning a living away from the computer for a few days . Well all i can say is, good on you for providing your time and effort.... Well done to you to, ATB. SNAPPER..................
  9. Not most memorable, but nost recent, spliting my head open this morning..... by hitting it on the corner of the bonnet of my jeep....... ouchhhhhhhh....
  10. 1 in 10 should shoot right upto 95 maybe 100g no problem at all.... may 1 in 10 did'nt like 100g shooting them around 1 to 1 1/2 inches.. not good enough for me.. 87g should be no problem at all... look at a good copper cleaning routine, as this could cause the accuracy loss. Snap.
  11. yep net trouble here too kay, bloody things giving me no end of grief, ATB. Snap.
  12. i've never encountered a problem whatsoever with these bullets... consistantly drops them..... good controlled expansion.... good weight retention, nice to hear someone else rates them too... Snap.
  13. here you go mate, had to take another pic of it as the one i had was pants, took it of the phone after skinning... ATB Snap.
  14. i have one i'll get it posted after a while just making the dinner mate.... Snap.
  15. .223 or .204, anyone will be a good long range vermin round.... shed loads of choice for the .223 though regarding bullet choice.... Snap.
  16. Snap - I think you have hit the nail on the head here - you use the correct weight of bullet head for deer when using the 243. I expect your M/V is around the 2900 mark. There is a chap not far from me using a 55gr in his 243 - his M/v must be up around 3700 - he has no option but neck/head shots. The 55gr was designed for small game like foxes in the 243 i get 3100 fps from the 95 grain sst, shooting it in a 1 in 9 twist... you NEED to use the right bullet for the job.... anyone gets a runner, their simply not placing the round OR not using a bullet designed for controlled
  17. i mainly use 95g hornady sst's or 100g sp never had a problem with both these bullets. 6.5x55 is an excellent cal. i used to shoot one with the 129 sst's but sadly had to get rid of a few guns when i got made redundant. best of luck with your new guns mate i hope they do you proud. Snap.
  18. njc. sorry to hear your mates had a poor view of the .243, i got my rifle a semi custom job this year and still kept the original cal. of .243 win it's simply never let me down, and i have taken red stags, red hinds, no problems at all, also fallow both buck and does, Always if i possibly can i always go for a neck shot, drops the animal instantly and makes for less meat loss, you are right any animal can run a great distance no matter what the calibre.. happy hunting mate. Snap.
  19. What nic is stating is true, it's sad to see so much bickering without, any real debate, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Best caliber njc to put it simply they all work believe me. Now this is a true sentence, they all do work, BUT it's about feeling confident about placing the round where it needs to be. I don't see the need for gripping about who shot how many stags, when....? We all have our own experiences, and we should be free to tell what they are without fear of recrimination. ATB. Snap.
  20. Always tend to neck shoot my deer mate, if heart lunged they tend to take a few steps and keel over... ATB. Snap.
  21. i had to walk outta work and get the camera hehe, cheers for the replies guys Snap.
  22. guys why the petty fighting, now we all know the shooter determines what he is confident with, be it .243 .308 30-06, .270, 7mm-08, if it works for you then all is well and good. All we can do is give OUR opinions.... now iv'e seen deer shot with all the most popular calibre's and IF they are not hit right they run, suffer, with whatever size of bullet their hit with, it wont matter, Now the .243 will take red stags no problem, but if you the shooter feel there is no room for error, that you may not place the bullet well, then get a bigger calibre simple, you have a little
