  2. Well only getting 3 hours sleep last night due to a family emergency, i hopped into the jeep at 3-50AM....!!! Drove the long journey through the pouring rain, and as we reached the stalking grounds it eased off.... YAY. Walked up the first field to a high vantage point the full moon shining, we could make out 5 fallow, but not well enough, As dawn approached, something spooked the lot and the trotted over the fence into the confines of the wood...!!! So we headed off to another bit of permission 10mins drive away.... got the kit out and headed off up the few field before the hill,

  4. kill or sell, simple... sell at sensible money to get rid of the ones you dont want simple as.... Why kill..... not a dig mate, just seems a waste, rather than see them get a home...!!! Snap.
  5. Fresh, it was blowing nearly 90 kph here last night....!!!!!! its currently calming which is good.... lol ATB. Snap.
  6. place two dowels side by side tight with the tail clamped between them, stand on the fox and pull the dowels up.... i've never done it personally but this is how i've seen it done.. ATB. Snap.
  7. very nice kay, your certainly improving, ATB. Snap.
  8. We've had a hell of a rough night here, really stormy, i'm at work at the minute but my internet is down again at home.... it's forecast to be really rough here till late tonight.... i may just get the camera out....!!!! Snap.
  9. Stunning pic that mate.. nice one. Snap.
  10. i would personally cut my teeth on a 12g because with the 20 you will need to be able to achieve more consistant accuracy to put the shot on target.... Also the 20g cartridges are a more expensive... i'd personally go for a cheap 12g in whatever style you prefer be it side by side, over and under, or S/A and cut your teeth on that, just my opinion. Snap.
  11. Kay just be aware that there may be a risk of stags attacking during the rut..... So take care and keep the shots coming.. Snap.
  12. it happened to me a few times, don't know what causes it..... but i know there are quite a few having problems today... Snap.
  13. No worries mate..... if you could get a chrony to fire 10 rounds through it would be intresting to see the Actual velocity achieved.... Snap.
  14. love the dragonfly shot...... very nice... Snap.
  15. looing forward to the images kay...... you certainly have the talent for photography, i wish you well with the new camera... Snap.
  16. Loving the deer shots kay very nice.... Snap.
  17. Right now that i'm outta bed and fed, looking at the spec you give, for a 24 inch barrel in .243 shooting 65g, your looking at a velocity of around 3200- 3300 fps now seeing as you have a 20 inch barrel you can knock off about 30 to 50 fps per inch loss, so in theory you should be getting around 3000 to 3100 fps, IN THEORY, but the only way you will ever tell is to shoot a 10 round string through a chronograph.... to get the average velocity... i'd say you'd be on the lower limits of 3000 fps personally...... hope this helps you out. Snap.
  18. No you cant mate, my mistake. should read 46.8gr.
  19. even if you the right loading, different components such as brass, primer, seating depth, will vary the velocity, you are still over the max loading too, So if you want trouble, keep on doing what your doing....!!!! get someone to show you the ropes mate.... ATB Snap.
  20. get the hover out and run it over the air vents in the ps3, years ago when i had the ps2, it wouldn't read the discs and i done this and it worked fine after it... Worth a try.... Snap.
  21. Simply put mate you cant really find out he info unless you buy a chrony... for the small investment they are they give a wealth of information..... i'd strongly recommend one even just for doing drop charts at extended ranges.... they also can tell how consistant your loads are, ATB. Snap.
  22. Now thats what you call service, Well done to BAR......... keep up the good work guys.... i'd keep shopping there mate.. Snap.
