    A pal of mine bought an ex forestry 4x4 truck , looked fairly tidy but that ended up costing him a fortune . They do seem to work them to the limit , certainly the trucks ..

    I can’t see holding teams back to even things up works , as you say over the years the dominant teams change . When you look at the differences in times between all the teams it’s down to a sec a lap and between the top teams it’s hundreds of a sec this surely is were the drivers make the difference. When Hamilton joined Mercedes they wasn’t the top team but with there technical improvements and his driving they have become the team to beat . It then needs the other teams not only to match the technical side but match the driving skills and at the moment Hamilton is without doubt the best .W

    There’s another one with exactly the same head Matt but even bigger body weight , had him in the scope tonight but couldn’t get a backstop . Some how he’s holding about twenty doe’s, and I watched him chase a much better buck off , hopefully something will do the same with him ..

    Sorry John your not experienced otherwise you would know it doesn’t work like that mate ..Shooting permission is like rocking horse sh1t , anyone around Swindon , or the entire uk , who knew of of a permission sure as hell wouldn’t give it away ..a couple of farmers ! Try a hundred mate .. it’s a tough old job for sure ..read through a few threads from the past about getting permission it’s a long slog ..

    Over at one of my permissions yesterday to see if we could end the suffering of a young buck we had seen the previous evening with a smashed up back leg , he came out as we were leaving and we had no chance to get a shot . Yesterday morning we did manage to get a couple of glimpses of him but he was always on the move and never gave any chance of a safe shot . During the effort to get him we came across a doe laying injured in a dried out pond , another road casualty she was despatched where she lay , by now it was early afternoon and the place came alive with three or four bucks who all star

    Been strange year so far on the blacks , they haven’t been on the pheasant feeders at all so far this year . Normally the first weeks the birds are down we are plagued with them , this year ( much to the keepers delight) they haven’t put in an appearance , be interesting to see what happens when he starts cutting the maize ..

    Every senior officer who was in on the decision to have an UNARMED Pc on the front gate of the No1 terrorist target in the UK should be dismissed for gross negligence, they to a man or woman have the blood of this Pc on there hands ..including this senior career officer who was clearly never tested to lead from the front ...

    Wonder how you square that with yourself ..knowing you did nothing but safeguard yourself when one of your men , who was left to guard what must be one of the top targets in the country without the means to defend himself against a knife attack let alone someone with a firearm , is being attacked and killed would haunt me every day of my life .. That copper was sacrificed due to senior officers neglect..How the man on the gate who has first contact with any assailants isn’t armed beggars belief ..it would seem not only are the senior officers negligent but cowards as well .
