Almost exactly as yesterday , the doe’s left the field about half an hour ago , then a pricket came out the same place as yesterday, gave him a rattle with the antlers and dropped him within feet of yesterdays one .. mate in the other seat had one ten minutes before me ..

Here’s one , it’s a little blurred because it was taken on the iPad while sitting on the quad , he just stood there as a i did a little vid of him , I drove off after a good three or four minutes watching him ..he wasn’t the best that year but I was hoping he would make it back last year , sadly he never ..

He’s actually a poor beast Matt , if he had a matching pair he would be a tidy buck , but one antler has a huge fishtail and is much smaller , his one saving grace is he’s white and the family like him , ! I’m really hoping he dosen’t make it back this year , he will only ever breed his like , the four year old I see this morning has the potential to be much better .Ill try and find a pic of one of the big bucks from a couple of years ago , they make him look like a spotty teenager.?

Had a couple of hours before the lads turned up , beautiful morning , but to many little bunches of deer and typically anything that I wanted to shoot was either impossible to get at ,no backstop or in the couple of fields out of bounds , one buck that did present what would have been a fairly simple seventy yarder was a four year old with a nice symmetrical head , nice bit of palmation good size but with precious few quality bucks about I let him walk by ..all last years master bucks we’re rubbish including a white one the estate owners thought was wonderful, it was in fact a lop sided and un

After reading that Matt I had to have a lie down ?..The days of dragging them by hand are long gone ..I’m just having a coffee ready for the start over my place after a summer of events ..had a drive through yesterday and even with the fellas pulling down the last of the marquees we see 120+ laying out in the sun mid afternoon ..

Would have been nice , sadly nice don’t cut the mustard in F1..no show of elation from Hamilton as he knows it was gifted but every team would have done the same and every driver would be expected to do likewise .Had it been a fight between Hamilton and Botas for the champions I asume it would be every man for himself , sadly Botas winning would only have helped Vettal .

Thought I’d put this on the stalking forum as Rob will probably just put it on the taxidermy section ..This was a roe I shot a few years ago that has just been kicking about the place having never got round to cutting and making a shield for it .Rob on a visit round thought it would make a good mount .To do this I needed a cape , of which I was unlikely to shoot in the near future , step in Yokel Matt who not only provided one but packed and posted and then refused to take the postage , which I donated to McMillan, that sorted Rob then got to work , I already had a roe done by him that looked

In the perfect world the owner of the cat will be a six foot six cage fighter who knows who the pair of low life’s are , where they live and has free range to beat the pair to a messy pulp ..sadly they may end up in court and get a community order and told of in a stern voice ...society if fcuked .

Started the day with a call from the police about an injured deer following a rta , not far from home so all sorted in about half an hour , not home ten minutes before another call from them about a deer caught by the back leg on a fence ..this was reported to the rspca who just passed it on to the police who passed it onto me .The directions in these call outs tend to be vague to say the least but the caller did leave his number and after a call to him he agreed to come out and meet me and guide me in to it ..he was a top fella ! The deer was well and truly hooked up on a newly erected fence
