    News to me ..what happens if the deer has been on the rape , walked 100yds away & gets shot ? Never shot one that looks pi**ed either , the only time the deer are a problem at the places I shoot is when the rape is young & green and to be fair I don't think its a favourite food , they spend a lot longer in a field of wheat or clover than rape .

    They had boots in the sale last time , reduced from £235 to 90 ....BUT ...only size 5 or 12 ...nothing in between . it was cut the toes off or 21 pairs of socks ...

    If you use stone chippings or wood chippings I would still dig out 100 mm ,put a treated timber edge !00mm in (Cheaper & quicker than concrete) , lay the terram, 75mm of type 1 ,compact , this will give you a path that wont sink , fill with water etc .. 25mm of chippings on top to make it look smart.The timber edge that you put in holds every thing about were you want it to be . If you just lay the chippingson the mud in a few months it will be all over the garden , & your be back to square one . It sounds like a lot of f**king about but in reality you should sort it in a day &

    If you use chippings still put the membrane down & the type 1 , it will drain properly & supress weed growth as well as holding the path intact , also use a path edging to keep the chippings in place . If you do it , do it right & you wont have to do it twice ..Good luck mate

    George s200 ..at the moment I have none but if you give me a call later in the year i'm bound to have a few kicking about , mainly fallow but when I do a park day there are normally sika & red but you will need to remind me , I got a head like a f**king sieve ...I gave all the old antlers to a guy in the village for the same reason .

    Dig out 150 mm ...terran ...100 mm type 1 ...compact.....full bed of 5..1 ..slabs that have been uni bonded . ..point ..if in doubt get a professional or your be doing it again & again .Don't use plastic as a membrane it will trap water .

    Keep the bubble on side mate, the worst of the work is normally over in a few weeks .The greeks I know are the best outdoor cooks in the world!!! you could be on to a serious winner in the end , play the long game if it turns out he's a s**t you can give him a dig then & nothing is lost ..

    I cull deer for a local farmer , he rings me "the place is running alive there must be 40" ...I think he counts the bloody legs then multiplies it by the number of ears ...40 normally means doe & fawn ..
