    I think since getting his 1st gran slam &Olympic wins his mindset has changed were by he believes he can win , his coach has certainly taken him up a notch on the mental attitude required to reach the very top. Hopefully this will be his year , I don't care were his from as long as its our small island ...

    I had my 1st evening out with the rifle , had a couple of evenings just looking earlier in the week ,see two cracking bucks but left them ,went across the road to another place I stalk and gave a couple of calls had one grassed in 20 min . i' write it up tomorrow

    Them guardia are the boys for sorting out the Moroccans , when we were out there fishing they were on there case big time , every time they see one they tugged him , I got the impression they weren't that keen on them !!

    Hutchey given modern machining methods I don't think there is a lick between them , they are all good serviceable rifles that will give you a lifetimes use looked after properly .I shot my pals x bolt the other day fabulous, had a rem 700 only got rid of it because I didn't need a 270,got a tikka t3 (you know that works) , I think its a case of sorting out a good deal on a rifle .Ps also tried the howa in 308 what a good rifle for the money that is ...!

    Dog meat at the very best mate ...Even if the thing was gralloched fairly quickly after being knocked over there is a chance the meat could become contaminated if the gut intestines etc was damaged.Not worth taking a chance with & definitely not after three hours in warm weather

    +1 .....that was some walk!....wind seemed to be blowing a hooley ...I never tightrope walk in wind above 5mph or when the rope isn't flat on the ground...

    Tools for me BUT nice tools that need looking after...Cleared out the wooden stocked, blued barrelled nice looking guns last year for the plastic, stainless work tools that I don't have to worry about rain & dirt etc .much more practical .

    I would think you have about all you need mate ,its not stalking though , its pest control /eradication , shame you cant keep him happy with a proper management plan that way he's got the deer at a proper acceptable level & you keep some good stalking.Every ones a winner ...

    Whats your problem with people wanting to keep there firearm ,? why do you need to" root out" anybody ?.Whats the problem with people who only want to shoot occasionally at the shooting club ...? Sounds like i'm all right jack pull the ladder up , there are plenty of people who could not pull up £500 in one go who would have to give up there ticket & there sport ,bet there love your idea..... ...............

    It looks to heavy to have that much stamina and I cant see it coming of well against a boar that turns on a sixpence , I think its just to big .Cracking looking dog but to big & slow to get in , get hold without getting smashed up .Just my thoughts ...
