  1. Thanks for replys lads has anyone had any experience with the diahatsu terrios. Are they any good?
  2. Shotgun would sort it would be fun with terriers though
  3. I think you are expecting a lot there but I suppose it could be done. If I was wanting a dog to do all I think my choice would be a collie greyhound, just because they are easily trained and willing to please. That's just my thoughts and believe me I am no expert but trying to learn
  4. All right everyone. Just want your views on the suzuki jimny as a lamping wagon, have heard good things about them but not as lamping wagons do any of you lads use them. If so do you use the hardtop or soft top on your lamping escapes? Reason I ask is I am looking for a good lamping wagon. I know the defender is the best choice but too expensive.
  5. A crap 4x4??? This a joke?Set of tyres like any jeep needs and you'll not get better. As for comfort I agree. Got to agree the defender is the best with a set of good tyres they wernt made for comfort but put a heavy duty clutch, set of bf Goodrich, winch, snorkel, bash plate and they will take you anywhere. But they aren't cheap. Heard good things about the jimny though.
  6. Pet carriers are as good as anything just let them out every now and then . But if they been worked they shouldget enough stimulation
  7. Bad news that pal, don't know how you kept calm if that was me I would of dragged him around the bog by his head and showed him what fair game is.He shouldn't be shooting if he can't tell the difference or if he thinks a terrier is fair game.
  8. I have a saluki whippet greyhound and his concentration while ferreting is excellent. Can't comment on collie x never owned one but have seen them work and the level of obedience that can be taught is unreal.
  9. None of my jills are in season but my hobs balls have started showing and he has had hold of one of my jills. I thinks it's down to the slightly warm weather as mine are kept outside so no artificial lighting etc
  10. Done but sadly I can't see hunting with dogs coming back. Keep fighting though lads an lasses
  11. I'd love to have a chat with them. They can't be any worse than some of you guys lol You haven't met a terrier man they are more game than the terrier haha
  12. Easy enough to make pal just buy a length of hard wood markout your peg design and cut using a jig saw and then drill a hole in the top. Peg done. If not eBay best place
  13. Shamefull, they don't deserve dogs. If they are on here they should be named, shamed and banned. How can anyone leave a dog or any animal to starve slowly. I know if it was my dog I would be there all night till I got it back. Hope the hound gets caught soon and gets a warm bed and decent meal. Keeps us all informed
  14. My own pup 6months old, was missing for a week, but with plenty of posters out and lots of leg-work we got him back. I'd ALWAYS get the dog micro-chipped, and ear tattooed. Its the dogs only way of saying where its from. Same here mine got stolen from its kennel at 3 months. Luckily he was microchiped and got him back a week later . The thing to do is inform everyone, wouldn't bother with the police they couldn't give a sh#t. Also dog lost are very good. Ask in local pubs, knock on doors etc. Good luck to anyone who has had there dogs taken by the scum that walks this earth

  18. I had one of thoses as a boy/teenager great dog, she still Alive but very old too old to work. She would catch rats, rabbits, hares but only by stalking them. She would lamp rabbits an hares and even took a few foxes, grey squirrel She would catch pheasant and partridges effortlessly and the occasional pigeon When out mooching she would catch more birds than mammals great little dog. I don't know if she was just a one off or if they all work Like that but she was a great little dog in her day, but then as a teenager she was out everyday all day. She measured 19tts. Never seen any othe
  19. Mines the other way round can't figure out what I am doing wrong day time seems easy to him but lamping he can't catch anything. Hopefully when he see a experienced dog doing the business he should pick it up. Hopefully atb
